Re: Shooting meter on or off

Re: Shooting meter on or off

I maintain that the shooting in this game is absolutely ridiculous.

I just shot 13% in a 12 minute quarter game. This was with designed plays to get my shooters open shots.

This shot meter mechanic is entirely too unforgiving.

    M. Bamba: 13 pts., 14 reb.

*Edit* I found the shot meter. nvm.
My problem and this has been a problem for years is that the settings never save. Eventually they will randomly revert back to the default. I always want to change how I dribble by using the right stick but the game seems to revert it back randomly. The same with the shot meter when they introduced the bonus years ago for having it off I had it off but it kept on switching it back on randomly so I gave up.

Why not just play with real shooting % if your playing MyNBA? Shot meter is pointless in that mode if you dont wanna learn everyone’s release.

I've thought about that, but I do like having some semblance of control over the outcome.

I don't inherently have a problem with the shot meter, what I have a problem with is the "green or miss" design that they have given it. In years past, there was a little bit of wiggle room, that "slightly early" / "slightly late" shots still had a good chance of going in. But the last couple years, they have changed it to a "green or miss" dynamic, and this year seems even more unforgiving than year's past. At least in the past I could hover in the 25% - 35% shooting range. It still wasn't good, but at least it was somewhat respectable. This year, it's literally either a blow-by dunk or a brick. There's no in between.

Gotcha. I still use it for Mycareer, but i’d lose it trying to play with it in mynba lol
