Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.9 Available For Xbox One, PS4 - Coming Soon to PS5, Xbox Series
Firstly I edited every team to be sure players with little to no mid range tendencies have higher mid range tendencies. Also I lowered/adjusted many players drive tendencies (namely those with 99. I think only Giannis is at 99 now).
I have my shooting sliders at 51/52 (changes between home or away) and CPU at 55/56 (home/away). Except I have CPU 3 point slider at only 47 since CPU 3 pointers are crazy OP for me. User shot timing impact at 20.
Keep in mind I use my own custom all time rosters so every team I face has multiple 90+ OVR players and 77 OVR may be the lowest rating each team has. So these sliders work against teams that are super powered with talent.
All defensive strength sliders at 50 except jump shot strength sliders at 15 (for both sides).
User defensive ratings at 50. CPU defensive consistency/defensive awareness/on ball defense/lateral quickness at 80+ (could go as high as you want on those. 90 got too hard for me to create good shots).
Adjust max and min WITH BALL speed/accel down 5 points. Adjust max and min WITHOUT BALL speed/accel up 5 points (so bigs can actually follow, provide timely help, and close out on you).
Foul sliders at HoF settings except shooting fouls at 100.
Oh and it’s important to use the BASIS for your sliders as HoF. Meaning modify your new sliders from the HoF setting. Apparently that makes a difference.
Otherwise simple house rules like not spamming P&R (which CPU is actually decent against with those high defense slider settings).
Also, I global edited help d for all players up 10 points. Though I don’t know if that makes any difference. Sometimes I see good help d, sometimes not. Still no mismatch help d but this game never had that.Last edited by AIRJ23; 01-11-2022, 06:41 PM.Comment

LoL we so starved for art updates that people are frothing at the mouth to see Poole’s update. Glad he’s updated but sad everything just takes so damn longComment

Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.9 Available - Patch Notes
I’m glad it appears that we are getting art updates for players like Jordan Poole but I agree, would’ve been dope to see Antman, AD, and Jimmy Butler get updates since their appearance in the game has been outdated for a while. Let’s see if we get another art update after this or if we have to wait for 2K23. They probably intentionally scale back the amount of art updates they do during the season to preserve the “freshness” of updated player scans/appearances for next years game I’m thinking.Last edited by NINJAK2; 01-11-2022, 07:37 PM.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.9 Available - Patch Notes
Current gen player art updates should at least be on par with next gen updates at the least. Games like Madden, PES, etc. seem to have no issues doing this. I also think they need to start holding back patch/updates until they are ready to be released across ALL platforms simultaneously.
But yeah regardless, 2K should be able to change things like hair or update these things in a more timely manner. Personally I’d like to see more classic player updates. Kareem and Kobe’s recent redos show how capable they are when they try.Comment

Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.9 Available - Patch Notes
Madden doesn’t have nearly as accurate player scans though (nor do they need to considering the nature of the sports). I feel like I see tons of Madden players who aren’t big stars not having tattoos when they do in real life.

Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.9 Available For Xbox One, PS4 - Coming Soon to PS5, Xbox Series
I honestly feel like it’s luck of the draw in how cpu is coded to play against us individually. Sometimes my cpu is very challenging and sometimes it’s dumb. Lately it’s been challenging.
