53 for Justin Holiday... a slow guard/forward like that can not play in NBA unless he got Doncic skills and IQ basket, for example

This guy is a consistant player since 7 years, now.


Ok it's not his best season but he draws 14,4 ppg 3 rbds & 2 ast in 30 minutes with 3,1 three made per game at .395 percent. He's the 5th most prolific deep shooter on the league.

See this is where I draw the line. No personal attacks. These guys are human to.

Even if you think our voices are small here. People are still reading this forum. But also on the other side. There is a deep picture here we might not be understanding.

To be clear, I'm the best 2K roster editor on the planet and I've made plenty of oversights.

You're insulting someone for only putting 20 hours of work into something instead of 21.

For something that you got to use immediately, at (presumably) no additional cost.

2k KNOWS they don’t need to invest time in some areas and people will voluntarily keep those parts of the community afloat by making the necessary edits for 2k.

The customizability of this game doubles as a means to do less work in areas for the communities that can access customizable options.

An accurate roster is not useful in MyTeam, and the park players only use the offline career part to boost their player for online. So an accurate roster is only good for mynba players, or the play now online Community which has no VC selling potential. Tendencies and badges and ratings of regular rosters is not their focus.

So they dedicate more resources to the VC generating modes, and for the offline people: here are the tools to potentially make the game play okay, because it looks like you can do it yourselves 2k is not going to waste resources keeping things accurate and it will never be a big enough issue because the community will use these tools either to make what is acceptable or use their availability as an excuse to accept the lack of care, and attention to detail.

So someone like me has to watch Chris Paul have a headbands in all my PNO games because someone can't simple toggle "no" headband. Yeah that makes total sense [emoji23] jk.

But I understand the problem. But.... Simple solve. Maybe update every 2 months during the cycle. There are some of us that play online with this stuff. Again I know outside looking in it's easier for me to say that. But ****... Some of the changes I'll do it for free. I'll sign that NDA with pride!

Legally, you can't do it for free. They're consciously aware that they need to pay you.

Let's just say someone got their foot in the door because they did some free labor and then heard back 3 weeks later "no sir, we NEED to pay you." They would lose far more in a lawsuit.

Real2KInsider is spot on in regards to this year being the worst year in a very long time in terms of the roster team thoroughly editing much outside of transactions and counting stats & Intangible attributes. The lack of effort to change much of anything badge-wise is a MAJOR issue as the BADGES play the most vital part IMO to better gameplay overall. 2K has slowly started to back away from Tendencies playing an important role in gameplay (Although they still need proper tweaking).

There are a few alarming issues that I have continually found to be minor but still important errors in regards to the offline rosters

- Injuries are all over the place all season as many players who are currently out for the year, still remain active while players who have returned from injury remained injured. There is no consistency in injury management and there is also no excuse for not editing them properly with the NBA releasing injury reports 4 times daily as well as various news sites (ESPN, CBS) using tracking systems to monitor each team's injuries as well. A simple 5 game absence should be the benchmark for when to injure a player in-game and if they are marked "Out For the Season" which should be self-explanatory. Players returning from injury should be active in-game no later than the next morning. Currently there are over a dozen players still active in-game despite already being ruled out for the year by the respective teams

- Player Accessories and Shoe Brand/Models have barely been updated at all dating back to 2K21. There's a small effort for a player who has a specific shoe added to the game. I would at least like to see a "Bi-Weekly" Update of all 30 teams to keep accessories and shoes updated accordingly.

- Player Jersey Numbers are often missed when adding players to teams. Currently, there are 4 players with incorrect jersey numbers (2 of which have been on teams for over a month).

- Rotations are often messed up due to a lack of injury updates and care for the OVR and how it messes with the AI logic of lineup management

- Defense/Speed/ACC/Speed With Ball ratings are the worst they've been in a long time. There are dozens of above-average defenders rated 50 or under in defense categories while so many guards are rated with speed ratings in the low to mid-70s (Some with 50/60's speed) while some bigs have guard-like speed. It is easy to know that Justin Holiday for example should not have a speed with ball rating of 50.

- The intangibles modifier is a great addition if utilized properly but because of the drastic underperformance of some of the formulas for positions, the need for an extremely high intangible rating completely changes a players OVR w/O having to properly modify anything else to get the OVR wanted.

- A lot of players were not touched at all rating-wise this year (Killian Hayes, a bunch of two-way players, lower rotation players), and that IMO is a problem as all 30 teams and all 17 players on each team should be properly rated at least bi-monthly.

- The Classic and All-Time Teams have not seen an IN-SEASON Update since NBA 2K20. So many players that are missing on those classic teams end up getting added to MYTEAM throughout the current game cycle but there is no proper ROSTER Update to those teams at all to include them on proper teams. Errors continually get recycled yearly with copy and paste efforts despite numerous offline roster makers providing visual and written changes needed to help make the rosters more accurate.

- 2K22 Has been IMO the first year where I've been the most frustrated with where the entire Roster Process is headed. Previously I would remain frustrated with smaller things but they'd be eventually fixed, but this year there are many bugs (Exported CAPS with Tattoos who were exported after the release of the latest PATCH won't have their tattoos show up when imported to another roster), (Invisible Heads when exporting 2K Roster Official CAPS), (Inability to properly edit all badges on quick edit screen).

The Classic and All-Time teams have been my pet peeve since Lance returned to the Pacers this season. The IRL team is pretty much having a tanking season, so no big deal there. I was HOPING they would they would add Lance to the Classic Pacers, so I could play with the original Pacers squad from that season (well close to it - missing Evan Turner)...nope.

I dabbled with PNO, but there wasn't really any incentive to play it when I create whatever Pacers team I want in MyTeam.The Limited Mode in MyTeam allows me to play games where I don't have to worry about going against OP teams.

Alternately, you could just admit you were wrong and move on.

Calling someone a liar or scammer implies INTENT. Strong words you should be prepared to back up, else keep your accusations to yourself.

Mike may or may not be great at his job, but that doesn't make him a bad person. There's a difference between a liar and an idiot. Take a moment to reflect on that.

I would not be surprised if 2K has these guys stretched to the thinnest capacity wearing multiple hats because they don’t want to hire more people. They may have told him to focus on 2023 right when this 2k dropped.

The job done on multiple areas of this game lately to me seems to be coming from upper management who care less about the sport of basketball and are mainly interested in maximizing profits. If there was care involved somebody wouldn’t be letting this slide.

2k is clearly too comfortable, and justifiably so (to them) through consumer actions, due to a monopoly. I’m confused as to why nobody is working on a basketball game

I would not be surprised if 2K has these guys stretched to the thinnest capacity wearing multiple hats because they don’t want to hire more people. They may have told him to focus on 2023 right when this 2k dropped.

The entry cost is too high now in terms of licensing fees and budget needed to attempt to make a game that might, might be appealing to more than just a small percentage of players.
