I play 2k17 on PC with mods. There is great historic rosters there, as well as a current roster. Game plays a great challenging realistic game of basketball on HOF with slider tweaks. I have sliders for the new era of basketball, as well as old school sliders for the 80's-90's era. The direction 2k is going, I would be content to never buy it again and just play 2k17 indefinitely. It really has everything I need in a basketball game.

I would pay additional money to have the servers back on for all the old 2Ks.

Well I've been playing NFL 2K5 every year since 2004 so I totally understand. It's totally doable.

I think the game has improved this week. New animations, better rotations, on offense cpu player movements improved too.

I do play with game speed up, with my sliders at 62

          With default sliders 58

How bad should I feel about mistakenly releasing my roster for Xbox One instead of Series S/X?

I honestly can't say the gameplay is much better, if at all, for the new generation 2K22 game.

Honest answers only please, not just to make me feel good...

              2k needs a Total reset
Right now the gameplay has maxed out even on next Gen

                My current rotation is 2K8, '10, '11, '14 and Live 10.

2K11 has been my for sure to go answer when asked what is the best 2K of all time... but man 2K14 is trying to change that. It does so many things right gameplay wise, it currently owns my soul at the moment. If you haven't played it in a while, give it a try.

I had a lot of fun with '16 when it came out so I need to get my hands on that next. 2K22 has left such a bad taste in my mouth, but my love for the past games have been reignited.

You really see with these old games when gameplay is the main focus, how good 2K is (or was) at making a great sim game.

You are 100% correct, when Gameplay was their focus 2k was unmatched. 2k11 & 2k12 are my 2 I am sticking with, us CHoops 2k8.

Graphical these games still are perfectly fine for me with HDMI hooked up.

With the older 2Ks I don't care about graphics as that gen had some pretty decent graphics that still hold up today. What matters for me is the framerate. To any PC players what's the framerate like on PC?

As far as the PS5 goes, from a gameplay perspective, I prefer 2K21 over 2K22. 2K21 moves better and feels better. When I play 2K22, I feel like I'm playing a video game. When I play 2K21, I feel like I'm playing basketball, and as such, I have to use basketball to win. Best of all, the Hall of Fame difficulty feels fair and balance, unlike other 2Ks, including 2K22.

I have 2K16-21 on the PS4 in my digital library, but after playing the next gen version upon getting my PS5 last spring, I couldn't go back to the PS4 versions.
According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.

PC fps depends on your hardware, especially the graphics card. You can have a decent CPU but the GPU usually does the heavy lifting. . . with my Ryzen 5 5600g paired with this GTX 1070ti I get very high fps using high settings and that's with a ton of mods but there are gamers with lesser specs they also get very GOOD fps. . .

Honestly and just my opinion...editing takes a whole lot of work and a whole lot of time...and in doing so you expect to see the fruits of your labor play out in the game. To do all that work and there be minimal gain as far as the game playing better...I personally wouldn't do it. I've been there editing other games so I know the time and effort it takes. It may be a blessing in disguise that it worked out that way for you because it can possibly save you time and effort that you can put towards something else. I can appreciate your hard work tho.

The more I have watched the real games (especially the playoffs) the more I dislike 2K ball with the huge number of badges and inflated shot make % across the board, which results in almost non-existent aggressive help defense and advanced rotations.

In my opinion, it just doesn't resemble the league enough in terms of flow and shot distributions, and I don't think that will change because many people do not want a pure simulation.
