What’s even crazier is they don’t even give all players their own sigs. Pippen and Shaq amongst others aren’t equipped with their own dunk packages and I think Pippen doesn’t even have his one dribble sig equipped.

Right?! Absolutely insane, and to be honest, lazy. This stuff happens every year.

I think one year Rodman had super high 3pt tendencies.....I mean, seriously?

They only have to get it right once. These players are retired an not active anymore so their ratings, sigs, tendencies etc don't need to be changed constantly. Just a solid bit of effort across the board to get them right, and they can be carried over from year to year.

My hunch is most if not all of the classic player updated models and accurate shoes will be for players featured in the Jordan challenge. Which is pretty good in itself cause it’s a lot of good players.

I also wonder if we’ll be able to use Phil Jackson as a coach in MyNBA. That would be a game changer.

Although their new “staff in team shirts” thing will look super off and goofy with Phil. I personally wish they kept the staff suits. It provides more variance than everyone wearing the same generic team gear and is more true to form for fans of classic ball. Jordan Challenge will surely have staff in suits, but I’m talking about regular modes.

That would be dope to have all the retire coaches as unlockables and put them in mynba just like classic teams

Let's try not to be too harsh on 2k on some of the little things they missed. They absolutely knocked it out the part from the preview, so hopefully they can update the Brad Sellers number, the Laker socks, Short shorts etc before launch.

I just hope this helps add more throwbacks they missed haha.. bring us the Rookie AI jersey so we can do a AI v Jordan Challenge our end! haha.

The classic Bulls warmups are in apparently. There is a screenshot that was released showing Jordan in the home warmups. Hopefully they have those on the players sitting on the bench and hoping to see the older 85-86 warmups as well for the Arrival Challenge vs Boston.. Hoping the classic warmups aren't limited to just the Bulls teams either.

Right?! Game changer. If Phil etc. aren’t set as coaches for their respective teams which means we can easily swap them into current team rosters for MyNBA, then it’s a fail of the century.

My biggest thing is player signatures and tendencies these days.

Everything could look absolutely photorealistic, with 100% complete accuracy, but if the players aren't doing what they should be doing in relation to their real life counter parts, then it's a deal breaker.

Every year I put in months of work to rectify the absolutely HORRENDOUS classic team player tendencies just to get them even a fraction close to playing the way they should.

I've been saying this for a while now, but all it takes for 2K is to get this right just ONCE. These teams are all old, legacy squads that aren't currently playing - do your research, get the tendencies right for all of them, just ONCE and you'll never have to adjust them again. They can be carried over into the next iterations of the game.

Adequate signatures for players. Correct Dunk packages. Below the rim players being given the correct layup packages and no dunk options. Bigs given proper post tendencies. Legends given correct badges that reflect their actual playstyles. etc etc.

Just once, 2k. That's all it needs.

What's interesting is I believe this is the first time 2K has come and stated that they have focused on classic team/player tendencies, plays, sigs ect this time around. Hopefully they had a separate/dedicated team to pull this off.

If they've expanded the player editing options after the last two years of being neutered, and I can get close to MJ looking/playing like this in my video below - I'm sold.

PC has a lot of benefits though. Mods for 2k20 I've been watching recently are fantastic. Especially for retro heads.

I think one year Mark Eaton had some spin move badge or something. I’m definitely hoping this doesn’t require a heavy editing effort. I’m still on 2k20 on PS4 and have no idea what edits to make on PS5.

Just noticed something that I've been wanting them to update for years. The 80s Celtics no longer have those knee high tube socks. They gave us a striped crew sock length. The players won't look as ridiculous anymore.

Some things I am hoping for in regards to authenticity for the Jordan Challenge

-They have warmups for the 84 Team USA and his 90s Bulls teams, would be great to get his University of North Carolina warmups and the earlier Bulls warmups for the 86 team in the Arrival Challenge vs the Celtics which I also hope have their accurate 86 warmups.

- in the 82 Championship Challenge University of North Carolina vs Georgetown, I'm hoping for Dean Smith as the UNC coach and John Thompson for Georgetown, and for the 84 Team USA Challenge Bobby Knight as the USA coach.

- The Rodman player model for the Passing The Torch Challenge should not have his hair coloring from the 1998 Finals but should instead be primarily blonde in order to be accurate to the actual game vs the Lakers.

- The 1997 and 1998 Scottie Pippen should not be wearing his Nike Air More Uptempo but rather his 1997 signature sneaker the Nike Air Pippen 1 in 1997and Nike Air Pippen 2 for 1998. In the footage and images I've seen from the Jordan Challenge I haven't been able to make out which sneakers Pippen has in the 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1995 teams, but for 1989 and 1990 it would be great to have the Avia 885 and the Air Flight lite low for 1991, Nike Air Flight lite 2 for 1992, The Nike Air Up or Jordan X for 1995.

This would be awesome but I hope we can understand if the reasoning if they arent in there. Bobby Knight is still living I believe so its a better chance but because Dean smith and John Thompson have both passed away, its up to the families (most likely) on if they want to be represented.

It not a "2k is lazy" thing if they arent is all I'm saying haha

Something I just noticed in the footage from the Jordan Challenges.... the Bulls logo on the home uniforms for the 90, 91, and 92 teams is wrong. They have the Bulls logo from the 93, 95, 96, 97 and 98 uniforms instead of the Bull that is outlined in white, which would be correct. I hope this is addressed once again especially with all the focus on accuracy to the time period and after they just announced all the uniform rebrands or jersey changes reflected in NBA Eras mode. The main reason I hope it gets fixed is because it's not something we can simply edit like an armband or accessory color but instead is just part of the player model team uniform art.
