Now if they can confirm classic tv graphics/filters and 80/90s gameplay can be used as an option in myNba it will be a day 1 purchase for me.

How cool would it be to do matchups of Bulls 96 vs Warriors 17...one game with modern rules and a game with classic rules. Man gets me hyped. Hope we can do it

They mentioned hand checking and tougher physicality for his games. I’m amazed they can actually program in hand checking. It would be a real bummer if you can’t apply those rules to MyNBA. Hand checking if it actually is functional to gameplay and isn’t just for design would be a great way to improve on ball defense especially if 2K nerfes defensive AI after patches. They spent the time and R&D to make it, now let us use it!

If they did those rule options no doubt 96 Bulls vs 17 Warriors would be insanely popular and all over YouTube, dissected, and debated. E.g huge marketing and conversational potential for 2K.

This is amazing and im very excited for this game. It feels like 2K23 is the spiritual successor to NBA 2K11, the greatest basketball videogame ever made.

But I cant help but feel a certain way after reading the article part about the different varied gameplay experiences. It really feels like its gonna be more of a slider adjustment, not something hard coded into the game.

But well, if that means they making sure that every slider actually does what is supposed to do this time, sign me in immediately.

WOW! As others have already said this looks amazing! The level of detail & authenticity is phenomenal! Seeing that MJ steal from Karl Malone in the 98 finals gave me chills! The animations look so realistic! Can't wait for this! Bravo 2K!

I feel like a couple sequences in that video were rotoscoped or something. The players weren't moving like 2K animations, looked like real footage.

I'm really excited about this mode. But disappointed some of the player models still haven't been touched up. Kerr still has that beefy body, and Rodman has the giant head + short arms syndrome that affects a lot of older player models.

The shot with Jordan dribbling to set up the final shot against the Jazz didn’t look like your standard animations. Good point!

Even better attention to detail than 2k11 Jordan Challenge. Plenty of little things and flourishes that really sell the authenticity. The Finals logo on the 96 jersey the Finals logo on the court in 98 Finals. The black stripe on the 1992 Bulls jersey. Not wearing Jordan's for the 84 Olympics. Video filters for 80s and 90s. Patrick Ewing with a short sleeved t shirt under his Georgetown jersey. The Boston Garden looking very authentic. Just amazing all around would love to see a side by side comparison to the Jordan Challenge in 2k11.

Now, only if we could expand this beyond Jordan lol. I've been waiting since 2k11 and 2k12 to get this level of effort and detail for this type of mode but with Kareem, Magic, Kobe, Shaq, Bird, Wilt, Hakeem, etc.

Curious to see if the absolutely perfect recreations of those legendary clips are actual gameplay or cut scenes similar to what we got with one of the Prelude clips a few years back when you were waiting for a City game to end. I would guess it’s a cut scene triggered by completing the rest of the challenge but it looks incredible regardless.

I figured I’d just hop into MyCareer on Day 1 but now I’m torn. I know I’ll eventually complete these challenges anyways but it might be the thing I’m most excited for now.

Jordan is a bum. However, that video was pure fire. That last Cleveland clip had me fooled. I thought that was live footage until I watched it 3 more times. wow.
