So this is something i dread every year but this year i had no errors. I got to see if i can upload it on the Xbox. For some reason for psn though the app doesnt connect. So I can’t try it yet on sony

It was a struggle for me even when I was clean shaven, but after I grew a beard, the face scans were just hilariously bad. No matter what kind of lighting I surround myself with, my face would come out ghost white on one side of my face most of the time and the mouth area would always be bad.

Did mine yesterday…whole process only took 10 mins and worked on 1st try.


Feel like last year it was easy too. They’ve definitely made it less buggy.

Alright, thanks. Glad it’s not just me. It’s funny. When I google the issue, I find a bunch of websites like this one:

with the title, “How to fix MyNBA 2K23 app error failed to log in to 2K sports” and then you read through it and at the end it says, “Unfortunately, there isn’t an official answer from 2K on why this issue is happening, if it’s being patched, or whether there’s a workaround for it. As it currently stands, you just can’t bring your own face into NBA 2K23 just yet. It’s a bummer, but hopefully, the app can get an update that eliminates this ridiculous error.”

App still doesn't work for me. Hopefully it's because it's the weekend lets hope they fix it soon.

2k posted that the patch that just came out was supposed to fix the connection issues with he app and psn but unfortunately it didn’t. Maybe we hear more this week

I can't even get my app to work for PSN. On Friday it just kept saying Failed to connect to PSN.

Just now tried again and all it says is say "success"....

I think i did a better job on the ps5 with my face then i did on my xbox i got to see a side by side. I am just happy its working now
