Don’t think it works on PS5 at least. Still says I have 1 day and 9 hours till I can play
Apparently you have to purchase the game from a NZ PS account for it to work. Ah well

Yes 8am eastern is the same time as midnight New Zealand. With the game coming out at midnight in each region the NZ trick should work. Usually the only time it doesn’t work is when a game gets release that is staggered to make sure the game is released simultaneously everywhere.Comment

Been doing this for years on Xbox for 2k and other games. Never had a problem, just don't purchase anything while you're switched to New Zealand. It'll cost you more because it's NZD and not USD.
