I complained about this in the other thread. Devin Booker is the icon for the Championship edition.

I am pretty sure past years it was the regular edition person that was on the dash and etc. I remember the Kobe version is the one I purchased and it was still Zion Williams. When I purchased the Jordan one today, it’s Devin Booker. I don’t know why they do it like that.

I think a lot of other people might want to know this …otherwise that would be false advertising…

I was under the impression ,that when you buy the Jordan edition ,you also get the Jordan icon ..why else would you show Jordan on the cover ?

I will contact 2k to make sure ,I get the cover edition of my choice ,DBook is surely a nice player ,but if you ask me I rather have MJ on the cover of course

I might wait until Friday to buy and wait for more confirmation. If all editions are Devin Booker, then I will be saving my money and just getting the standard ed...

I’ve just submitted a ticket on 2k,if that’s really the case ,this is unacceptable and is an issue that’s suable ….that would not make any sense to me ..then I rather cancel and buy the regular edition.

Admittedly, I said it was the dumbest thing for me to be mad about, but it really bothers me down to my soul that I got the Championship Edition, and it's Devin Booker. I want the Jordan jersey as my icon.

I could have sworn that you got different icons based on your purchase. Looking through my digital library, it seems that it was always the icon for the standard version.

I mean..I'm a D book fan for sure but even I want the Jordan Icon and cases. Not willing to shell out the extra dough though.

Damn I just got dooped out of an extra $30 smh. I preordered the Jordan Edition last night only to find out I still have the D Booker icon. Wtf 2K? How do we not get the Jordan cover icon? How does this even make sense?

That stinks, man, sorry. Yeah I've been holding out this entire time from buying the special editions because I don't need all the extras (VC, or even League Pass) -- All I care about is the Jordan icon.

Shouldn't you be able to cancel your preorder still? I know that Sony's refund policy is Draconian...but being that you haven't *launched* the game yet (I don't even think it's possible yet, until release day?), I would think they would refund you, no questions asked.

Yeah, I think you got a point there. I do recall in the first 6-12 months of the PS5 that game icons were inconsistent across the board, and eventually a system update cleaned all that up and now all icons just show the main cover as the icon. (that is, what you'd see on the physical box art) So that would make sense.

Thanks man. I'll just chop it up as a loss, but at least I know going forward. I usually don't care about who's on the cover, but this year was different because of MJ. I just don't understand why we can't get the digital cover that we paid for. Idk if it's a 2K thing or PS5 thing but either way it makes no sense. Seems like it would be an easy fix.

I normally buy the standard versions, but Control had two different icons for their standard and ultimate editions.

Its most likely going to be Booker. Its always been that way, the physical covers are the only thing that is usually different.

It's all 1 icon, think about it if you buy a physical copy of the Jordan or Championship edition, the game on the disc is the exact same as the standard edition. Theres no special coding in the disc that says you have the Jordan edition. You just get a different cover and a code for the extra content. Besides that it's all the same. That applies to digital as well, the games files are all the same.

Is it? I haven't bought a physical disc game in years, let alone ever bought a special edition one😭

This is just my opinion but as much as you pay for the special editions...I really don't even care about the extra MyTeam stuff or neighborhood stuff. Those are things I would never pay extra for. It would be cool to have an icon accurately representing which edition you bought. The physical cases are definitely cool but for me to shell out that kind of extra money you have to have some physical stuff to come with it.

On one hand complaining about an icon seems kinda petty but on the other hand as much money as you lay down for it..that kind of thing should be included.
