Until we get an explanation as to why these pc modders can do what they do I'm just convinced there are way more talented people out there that should be on the art team

Crazy part is 2k hired a few modders from the pc community, leftos, jaosming, Vlad and R4zor. R4zor is a excellent cyberface maker and works for art team, so it makes me wonder how much freedom they have or why isnt he allowed to update cfs. Must be other factors in play as well.

He's already made a significant difference. The legends they updated last year show that. It's 100% a resource allocation thing. They don't have free reign to work on whatever they want. I'm sure they get a limited amount of time and can only do a certain amount before having to start on the next cycle which is why sports games should be bi annual releases.

The exact reason this billion dollar company needs to hire more people to work on the accuracy of the people the game is based on!

It’s clear what little people they do have to work on player likeness are being put on volleyball, scooters and go karts for the city crap instead of accuracy of nba players!

If they want to keep penny pinching then 2k need to allow consoles access to the mods from people who actually give a damn

I can tell you right now hiring more people would still end up the same. The art team isn't allowed by the higher ups making decisions to solely focus on player likeness and smaller details. They have to focus mostly on City since that's the biggest resource sink for the studio for most departments (biggest money maker). It's frustrating as hell, but that's the reality. Then with the annual releases you're gonna see less updates throughout the year. The larger team will get most of the resources for the next cycle while a smaller team will work on the current one.

They'll also more than likely never allow mods as a preventative measure (most games don't allow console mods). Maybe one day they'll update the creation suite to be more in line with the WWE games and allow photos to be placed on CAP's. With how rarely that's ever been touched though (twice since the PS360 era), I wouldn't hold my breath.
