Make sure to use this link to officially file a ticket with 2K support:
https://support.2k.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
This ensures it shows up properly on 2K's radar.
The more tickets filed, the more 2K is aware and views updating this as urgent.Comment

Something I found effective is to open up a draft class and create a player from there and then export the DNA…Try that and let me know if it worksComment

Same boat, glad I found this thread. I only use MyNBA, so I’m not quite sure how to go about this.
My problem is identical with how the player card & in-game appearances are totally different than whatever I created in “edit player”. I’ve got a “player dna” and an official roster version of the player. Maybe there’s a similar hack to the video you posted, but for MyNBA? I’m not sure how to try what you suggested in that game mode, but I really want to make it work.Comment

1) open up a draft class
2) create the player from within the draft class
3) save and export the player DNA (you don’t have to save the draft class as a whole)
4) go into MyNBA
5) import the player DNA
6) enjoyComment

Man it really sucks that we have to jump through all of these loops. But trust me there’s a way.

Re: Create A Player totally BROKEN in 2k23. PLEASE FIX 2K
Yeah I can't even enjoy the game because of how crap the CAP system is. It was fine on 2K22, all they had to do was add the animations.
Despite the player models look like crap on the court, creating players is a headache. I hate that 2K restricts the animations for certain player types
It makes sense for online play, but leave it alone offline, we should have free reign to do whatever we want. I shouldn't have to cheat the system to get certain animations on certain players I'm creating.
If I want Kevin Durant's jumpshot on a 6'1 Guard then let me. But no I have to make him 6'9, equip the animation and then go back and make him the height I want.Comment

It was that way in 2K21 and 2K22. Some jump shot releases were gated based on player height. Same with some lay-ups and dunks (had to be above certain height to get "big man" options for those). Certain sig options like size-ups, crossovers, etc. required a minimum level in ballhandling rating or speed with ball. Some of the options are different this year but the process is no more or less of a pain than it was in 2K21 and 2K22.
The real pain for me is the removal of the numbered shot releases. I have tons of guys from 2K22 that I made custom shots for and almost every one is a blend too and most of them had one or both as numbered releases. All that work is down the drain. I tried to record the shots for a few of my CAPs from 2K22 and match-up them up in 2K23 but it's extremely difficult because the shot view is different in 2K23, so you're looking at the shooting from a different angle.
Also, be careful on saving your CAPs. I've gone in and made changes from the DNA screen and then the next time I loaded the game, it reverted the guy back before I made the changes. Last year due to some people experiencing missing CAPs, I started saving all my CAPs into the free-agent section of a roster file that I use only for storing CAPs. That way there is no lost work from errors from the DNA section.YT - Jimbo2K

So I didn’t realize how bad this was. I have CAPs damn near reverting to default once I start a game. Yikes.Comment
