What do you mean “turn it off”? It’s a setting, you choose what’s best for you.

Im pretty sure i get what hes saying. We went over this all in the impressions thread a few days ago but ill revist it here.

If there is an early or late option, whats that relative to?

In my head tha means it should be relative to something in the middle of those two which let me call that normal for the sake of this. You are either early of the "normal" or late of the "normal" but i just want to be "normal" of the "normal" bahahahaha

Just for the record i get what you guys are saying and Its probably just an overthinking issue but i completely understand how some people are getting there cause i did too.

Kinda makes sense. I can't imagine anyone using "Very Late" as their shot release point. I have late and when I use Fred Jones in MyTeam, it feels like I'm holding the shot stick down forever, and I sometimes still end up with a "Slightly Early" [emoji2962].

2KTutes posted a video where he showed that the shooting animation speed doesn't change. The option just moves the green window. I watch the wrist too, but I consistently shoot slightly late or late if it's not an excellent release. For me, I would select "Late".

According to what someone report Mike Wang said, late is "normal" which must mean it would be the timing from 22.

Lmao not at all. There's a litany of ways to change this, many previously stated.

You can literally choose how you want to shoot: do you like your releases very early, early, late, or very late. Do you want to remove the prompt? You can remove the shot meter. Do you like these but don't feel like you're hitting well enough? Change the Shot Timing Meter Impact to 0. Do you want to not worry about your timing/release or the prompt at all, realplayer% allows you to just get open and shoot.

He was the one who asked if there was a way to "turn it off" lmao not me lol First page, last post he said "there's no way to turn it off". Maybe I'm explaining it wrong but I used his phrase to try to help eliminate the shot timing/release altogether lol. My bad for any confusion.

Controls your release point on jump shots.

You can adjust it to what feels more natural for you.

I could not shoot last year and couldn’t shoot this year up until this week


I set this setting to very late and my game changed overnight. I splash pretty much everything now. For some reason my brain just can’t do fast releases

This is what I think. Early feels like 2K22 timing which is interesting since Mike called late the “normal” timing. Guess normal in 2K23 doesn’t have relevance to normal in 2K22.

It'll be tough to find what's perfect, so I kept mine at slightly late. Some shots are really fast and some really slow, so no matter what is chosen, you'll still find shots that mess you up.
