Play now vs friends changed?

Hey can anyone let me know if the play now vs friends has changed? Since the next gen its always been messed up or can only play on rookie? Did they change it so its easier to play a friend.

So they did fix this in a late patch where whatever the HOST had the difficulty settings/time set to in the menu (not the online menu but like your settings in the main menu of the game itself) would be what's used. I haven't played 2K23 yet to check if it's changed again, but just a heads up.
