At some point I'm going to try doing this.

Wish there was a site that showed all the trades and stuff for each year..

I don't really get this though, since player movement / front office decisions are heavily based on how things actually play out in terms of winning / losing. Isn't it less realistic to duplicate real-life panic trades, for instance, when the team is actually doing well in your game and has no reason to panic?

Do the coaching adjustments actually work this year? I.e. double on drive/catch, different pick coverages, etc?

Also does the help defense slider actually work, and is the help coming from the right places?

I'm not trying to sound negative but I'm not spending money on the game if team defense isn't fixed.

Best advice I can give is to slow down. If you're like me I imagine you receive the ball with Jordan and immediately try to break the defender. Slow down and set him up a bit. Vary your speed when you do RS moves.

I've improved a lot with Steve Francis just by slowing myself down and rocking the defender to sleep sometimes. For example slowly keep pushing the RS up to dribble back and forth, then quickly pull off one of the escape moves and explode to the rim. Francis also has a nasty shamgod move I sometimes use after the slow dance (think its move RS towards ball hand, then up).

So it would look something like
up...up...up...up...up...right-UP turbo towards rim

I had the same issue at first. I would frantically or too quickly try to pull off some crazy combo. Then I had that light bulb moment when I started using size up moves followed by one simple move which lead to a clear path to the basket.

Hit up freestyle practice and just practice that timing

Question for those who have completed a draft in franchise mode. Are rookies shot releases still slow? Last year it completely ruined the mode for me when everybody in my drafts had slow shot releases.

I seem to be struggling to get the double input dunks to work (can’t remember what they’re actually called, but the ones where you flick the stick down and then up and stuff). Is there some sort of timing I need on this or is it just supposed to be a quick flick down and then immediately push up?

Really? In what situation, with what player?

I mostly used a big guard last year, but the doubles are coming on my PF this year too, especially if I get a guard switched on me.

If this is the question topic, can you answer some of these unanswered questions:

• What is the "short press and hold" option?
  
• I did not understand the interest of dunk without meter and dunk with meter. What is the point?
  
• Why choose between "get open" and "handoff" ?
  
• How to ask a player to get open if you use the button for handoff ? (before there was a get open tactic... before...)
  
• Why can't we always save match tactics to load them with other teams? (or just load them to avoid redoing them)
  
• Why when a timeout in defense I can change only the defensive tactics and a timeout during a possession, change only the offensive tactics?
  
• Why can't we always make the strategies BEFORE entering the game ? (Like other sports games...)

How long can you play for during Eras? Like, if I start in '83, can I play all the way to/through 2023? Or is there a certain cutoff? I wanna start a league in the Magic vs Bird era and play all the playoff games through the ages, and also wanna start a Spurs save in that era and take it through to modern day but I wanna make sure I can actually do that before I get stuck in.

80 years. From 2022 to 3003 or from 1983 to 2064. It can be from the MJ years or Kobe years as well.

What happened to every teams statement jerseys? I went to play a quick game and noticed no teams have their away jerseys. Only see association, icon, classic and throwbacks.

I just checked to see if any statement jerseys were added. Only the Nets if I’m correct. Aggravating part was it was only with 2k’s rosters not my customer roster. God I hope that gets a fix
