How do you put teams from past eras into the the modern era?

I've been trying to figure out how to put a team like the 02 jazz into the modern era in mynba. Are these teams locked to a particular era?

It’s looking like they’re locked. I really hope they change this, as pitting players and teams from different eras against each other is a pretty obvious desire from the people who use these modes. Big oversight imo
