Cool, That’s essentially how 2K22 was. No problem.

Me hitting Play Game should NEVER be interrupted by a screen telling me I have to put on a hot dog hat.

On top of that, I’m stuck on a quest and can no longer advance. Second year in a row that this has happened.

I havent played a 2k in like 3 or 4 years, is there any way to get your team STOP fouling in the 4th quarter? Just lost to the hornets because my team was fouling with a minute left while down by 6. Im the PG and they should follow my lead

I'm playing center for the Warriors and my "championship-caliber" teammates are absolutely atrocious on offense.

Steph and Klay shoot nothing but red and yellow releases on wide open jumpers.

Wiggins and Draymond will just drive into the paint whenever they touch the ball to go shoot contested layups.

It feels like my AI literally cannot score unless I throw them an open alley oop pass.

And this is with me having the leadership boost that raises a bunch of the AI's offensive attributes by 32 points.

2K23 really has Steph out here shooting wide open bricks with a 122 three point rating

I'm a 66 ovr PF on the Bulls. Demar Derozan is pretty good but I gotta keep feeding him the ball. I am playing on pro though.

I saw something like that in a video. I don't understand how the CPU would mis-time their open shots. If that's the case, set the CPU teammates to Real Player % instead of timing. It's supposed to be NBA professionals, timing their shots shouldn't be an issue.

For me, I would rather have the difficulty in MyCareer only affect your player and have the CPU play the same if that meant they'll play normally. It shouldn't be a detriment to play on All-Star or HoF and feel that you have to not only be precise on the sticks, but to do everything to win games. I've had teammates who performed well, but that's either because I was force feeding them or their playstyle fit the meta. Like past couple years, good slashers/finishers were the best teammates to have. But past couple years, post scorers were the worst for me. In NBA2K21-22, once I got the ability to change playbooks, I literally had to remove all post plays. The CPU would always run the offense through the post(Regardless if it wasn't the best player) and that player would shoot terribly

Maybe check the coaching settings before starting a game. I don't know if it's there in MPlayer, but that's where the option would be.

I have seen this on another site that apparently you can unlock secret builds in My Career to get exact replicas of NBA greats like Jordan, CP3, Jokic, etc. Has anyone found more of these? And what do you have to do to unlock the secret build?

I would love to get a Nique, Bird and Detlef secret builds.

The fashion quest with the free throws is stupid. I have a low free throw rating and keep on failing it. This quest is going to be impossible for anyone with builds who have low free throw ratings.

I ****ing finally passed this quest. It's ****ing ridiculous SMH. I had to change my Free throw to Karl Malone's, turn real player% off and change the shot timing release time to very early. I was able to pass it with a 60 free throw rating.

The only good part about it is you get to choose a free shoe.

I just started the HORSE quest. Oh my god...

Just got bench while avg 29 ppg, 9 reb, and 14 assist. Saying I need to avg B team player for 6 games to earn spot back. I was already avg B+ 🤔🤔🤔🤔

This is by FAR the WORST single player experience ever (yes 2k can be considered multiplayer but im playing offline MC). What a waste of money this game is. Your teammate AI is GOD AWFUL. Your player....GOOD LUCK! My guy is 71 overall 77 three point 70 mid range....i haven't hit ONE shot through 6 games so far. Not ONE (in game). Wide open, slightly contested cant hit water if i fell out of a boat. And my teammates? Passing wide open layups missing wide open threes and DUNKS?! I have played 2ks before and know how to play but this is by far the most ridiculous experience I have ever had with any video game.

I haven't had that bad of an experience with my teammates. They do occasionally stupid things. I find the AI responds better by playing a more controlled game of basketball requiring use of setups and plays, rather than aimless freestyling, which does make sense.

My career ruined the 2k franchise for me because of a lot of the reasons in this forum. I'm glad that the eras mode is playing some great basketball right now. I tried the builder for the 1st time last night and it just wasnt interesting. Do all this grinding and now forced quests just to get cheesed by a "dribble god" while his teammates stand in the corner? Lol no thanks, done watching the sport I love get clowned

I'm using kobe jumper and free throw and green so much I'm almost nervous they'll change it. 65 mid range 88 3pt and 70 free throw. What shot are you using because I've always struggled with timing, and this year is the easiest I've ever seen to date. I'm on all star with LA and a 6'5 2way inside out creator. It has to be ur shot type because I'm on all default with non of that happening at all. Hell I'm greening normal 2 post fadeaway shots and mid range pull ups with 64 mid range. Not a park type at all. Haven't played 1 park game yet

I'm on pro difficulty. But I was hitting 3s with 65 3pt shot somewhat regularly. Now I have it up to 70 and it's getting even easier. I'm using the default swing jumpshot that came on my build.

This is just blatant disrespect and greed and i have never experienced a grind this tiring and useless.
I have been doing quest after quest and i havent got any VC for all the effort they keep expanding on the quest and its going on like this for days !

Whats the use of even playjng this game mode ?
I know they want us to buy VC so they can get more revenue but this has to be the most laughable VC reward for effort i have ever seen !

Been grinding quests for days and didnt even make 10 k ??? A quest for 1500 or 2500 vc takes forever and ever the quest keeps on expanding after you finish the objectives.....im.done !

I wont do another quest i wont play any more mycareer games i will just jump straight to tec center because this is just sickening! Shame.on you 2k !

You take all our farmed VCs from 2k22 and then have us grind this hard for ZERO!

I mean if i spend 5 hours on quests and all.i got is 2 paislr of shoes and a t shirt then you are just conning the consumer who just dropped 80 euros on the game !

And oh yeah !! Did couple of quests or races and didnt get my VC ..thats just thievery!

Each quest tells you what you'll earn by completing it. You don't have to do the quests that won't earn you VC instead you can just do the one's that do earn you VC.

At the same time certain quests LAST YEAR did give you significant VC and it sucks it was taken out of. But if you're spending 5 hours on quests that literally tell you that you won't earn VC by doing them that's not the developers fault to be fair.

I've personally really enjoyed this years story FAR MORE than whatever recent drivel they've spilled out and called a "My Career" so that's just personal opinion.

I remember the grind that was the 2k10's and so on that was NOT tied to VC but just STRAIGHT UP START AT 55ovr (FIFTY-FIVE) and you COULD NOT move, shoot, defend, dribble at all and you couldn't improve without playing game after game after game. I hate people being able to buy their way to high OVRs but at least with buying the special edition I can jump straight to 80ovr right out of the gate.

VC certainly has it's downfalls and it's blatant money grab ideal, but it's truly not as awful as those make it out to be. It's a basketball version of an RPG career mode, it's supposed to last.

Sure, people can call that a cop-out, but that's just the brush people want to paint with. "You can't get to 99ovr without X,Y,Z!!!" - Yep... but you can average a 30pt Triple Double at just 80 OVR every single game (which doesn't take long to get to when you... play the game). And you're a quality player even online, which is filled with spam cheesing exploiting players anyway lmao.

And please don't aggregate this, I completely hear your concern and agree with you. I just wonder what an acceptable amount of time put forth is to meet whatever goal the person is trying to achieve because that never seems to come up.

IGN rated the game a 6 based on MyCareer microtransactions, the grind it takes this year to become a competent player without spending money, and the cost of merchandise in the mode.



And near the end of the video they mentioned the online latency and lag that happens in matches. It's been like that for years. Cudos to IGN for acknowledging something that most people blame the user's setup (Internet, monitor, TV). I'm sure IGN can afford the best of all of those things.


I used to think IGN was on the gaming companies' payroll for the same reviews and ratings every year but they changed that with Madden and 2K recent reviews.
