All you dudes w/ Js!! The only time I shoot that J is when it somehow makes me turn into a fade instead of shooting the lay up haha. I spent a good time yest on 2k, playin rec then grinding mc for new player (Kemp-ish build, gonna be nuts, so I'll have some Js soon.)

I just like seeing what's possible, haha. Cuz it can translate to rec or player v player. I haven't played reg play v player in SO LONG. Like w/ bots and real teams, wow. lol. Had some dude about to challenge someone to 1v1 (old skool) on the mic tho. Here's all I got in reply tho in terms of post haha. Looks garby and it kinda is, but... cheezy post moves are interesting to me. Like I said a lot of 2k is just unexplored. Not saying people don't know how to do those things, but I don't think people have mastered like... the amount of movement you can get for instance in a situation like what I'm gonna post w/ just one jab in the right direction. Got my foot all in front of his tho haha.

It's not really REALISTIC but I always was like that, if I could get my foot in front of you, there was no way you were gonna get back from that. It's from weird angle cuz it wouldn't move the cam right as an after the basket replay.

This is my favorite tester move on who is defending my post up player. Once they let one go by. Next I'll do the same move but then I'll step back jumper.

Mine is "shoot it in your face until you block me" haha. Well, at least make them think that's what is gonna happen. I don't even put counters on people til they can stop the initial move haha. But it is funny when you catch someone so asleep. haha.

Post dudes, if you're not using change shot... even for micro adjust at the release to get better contests, you ain't playin rite! You can always just throw it up too if ya gotta. Stuff really needs an adjustment, it's p funny. Supremely demoralizing to other people, for some reason. lol when ever people do that to me, it's like... haha ok, let's go.

I’m glad contests are better, but a lot of the time they are too light. This reminds me of some George Mikan tape vs electricians and plumbers haha.

Re: The 2K23 Post Game Thread

I def have a little shame when the game gives me those ultra huge green bars and I get an excellent release that probably should have been a brick just because someone jumped or I was too huge. That shot was a top green. I can semi reliably hit hooks v a defender like Anthony Davis tho ( on a perfect release) he’s able to also block my shot if I mess up. If I get deep, I have more ability to get green bar, but also more chance to get blocked. I like the balance and post game so much. I just hate the fact that driving dunks have power/physics and all the old big contacts are things I’ve seen hundreds of times.

Still all greens over outstretched hands, even 6’4 guys, work for me. People worry about inside being op, but if u don’t work 3s in, you lose.

Plus people still at least dig. Sux people can dig into a kick out contest so fast.

I remember this dude saying to me In rec that he was gonna keep feeding me. It’s like ok but this is weird haha. He’s like if I had ur build I’d get 30. It’s like no u wouldn’t. I dunno if he thought I was insulting him but I was like you’d never get the ball enough. So many gms I set the tone early w d or o and then people go back to bummminnnn. Give u those “get blocked” touches.

Look at this nasty up and under lol

I would have been so mad as the defender. Just tip my hat lol

Does anyone think he can pull this off?

Nasty... But I have a hard time thinking a human will go for the first fake. Made if you hit it the first time.

Oh no dude I just got back here. Thought post was ded. Pun not intended. Lookin.

Yoooo that first one. That’s some I’d be throwing myself out of bounds face first flop lvl even in a close game hahaha. That you? That second move can keep dribbling instead of shooting pretty sure.

They need a hard foul button again. After I get jumped twice I’m just landing on dude haha.

It's crazy how if you play 2k enough you notice how certain anis are just way faster than they should be. I dunno if you were fast forwarding at the end but that turn was SUPERFAST.

that's all I got these days w pf, haha. I watched a vid saying amped was a trash badge, but without amped imo that shot is impossible. Comin thru that lane, all that contact, and still be able to shoot pretty clean. Dudes talking about slow anis, if you fade/step back the right way, it's still straight.

Edit: I was soo close to Gold on my PF, too, and went on a bum streak. Messed around and got bronze again. This game, people actually outright selling. OUTRAGEOUS, I SAY.

EDIT: MJ. Kobe is on my sg, way less ups but it's fast. They each have their advantages. haha that's the best one imo if you can turn. I watch em and see. My dude has 84 vert, too, so I think boosted he's 85 but my vert is pretty crap in some senses for a dunker.

With how people fly everywhere and reach, so the slow ani is beneficial. I almost never have a bad outcome. I miss some shots or if someone jumps right it's like good contest just like you say good shot. I'm not gonna stop taking it if I can esp if people don't wanna guard me. That's the closest thing, in my mind, of being able to rise up and hit a J, and I got it on my shooter and trust me **** is wet from everywhere. I haven't tried 3 yet, but haha. I should soon. I bet it is.

But yeah fading into someone's reach and hitting shot, you see people quit out of the game haha.

Edit: and in case 2klabs might say differently, I am almost positive that vert increases your jump height on certain shots, stuff like that. You need some vert, period, but getting elite vert seems to me like you get more, but maybe I'm tripping. People sleep on vert in this game, imo, the only dudes with 84 85+ vert sold their build for dunking or they can't shoot, so it's like heh. Or they are bbq chicken on D, but if you play hard you'll get stupid plays with athleticism, too, it's an interesting balance. I have minimal reb skills, only bronze chaser. Bronze anchor but I slaughter people's dunks sometimes, if they try to just go over me. 6' 10 7'7 so not even max wingspan. You need 73 mid for gold middie to hit that stuff and it's ALL DAY like way more than you think. Not as all day as HOF but with discretion it's nuts. Especially if you have stuff on your build already like post moves, speed boost badges. I dumped post for a jumper basically. It's still 77, but that's not enough to just house cuz everyone builds hard defense, but it's such a punish em shot.

I'd kill w/ my boy in twos he'd pass to me and then I'd iso at mid, most bigs would just back off so I'd splash, and when they didn't he'd just work. Was unstoppable unless I was broke. That's the one shot you need as a big imo if you're not a 7'3 with hof masher, fearless. Even then, though, you get stopped by people with OP badges occasionally. That shot if you can get it off registers as open. Just gotta decide how to turn.
