a different look at Rec haha. Look at the squad we faced, tho, not bums!

Takes forever for a good encode.

Might be language cuz I'm on MIC haha. You can only hear my mic, but the most interesting part was after dude left out (verbally committed to) and said he didn't care about rec, he said he plays pro am for money. I was like o U must be really good then, and he didn't talk anymore.

It's like yea I can bump your guy every time but zzz. We still got looks for him, too, we had a 3OT battle with randos!!

      Re: 2k23 The Rec

Smak, maybe because I'm exhausted today, but I wound up watching that video the entire way through. I can't believe the guys you played had the game in the bag in the first overtime and did not give a hoot about clock management towards the end. Watching them blow the game was painful lol.

Makes me wish I had a PlayStation (I'm on the Series X). Would love to run games with you. I think if we had my PG build, your build and a couple of nice shooters, it would be an absolute blast to play. Would at least make for some good games. Loved seeing your cuts to the basket; man, I would have fed you so many points easy.

2K20 was the last 2K I played a ton of rec in. I skipped 2K21 and 2K22. Got back into the swing of things with 2K23 when I got the XSX, but the few times I delved into online MyCareer were not good. Look, I'm an average player but I don't goof off with anything funky. In 2K23, what turned me off was running into the typical randoms who won't pass or just faze you out because you aren't one of their buddies.

Think I'm done till 2K24 and hope I can find some good quality people on the Series X to run with.

I'm blowing up at the moment, but I don't wanna mess w/ OS chemistry (for real, haha, I am just like that. That's why I'm always apologizing before I talk.)

**** is real. I'm not blowing up like... people are actually watching my vids haha, but I'm gonna focus on that!!

I'm gonna teach people how to ball out for real.

Edit: I got it on tape. lol that's what I say when people talk, it's like I got the tape want me to upload it? Plus I wanna see where I messed up. That's like SIM LIFE meets ANALYTICS, 2k storyline. We just got lucky to find a 3rd like Flux. (some other guy.) That was ALL RANDO with a bot, vs prol a squad. I mean, we were just balling. Not balling, but I mean I wasn't like HYPE to go up. I knew it was gonna be trash, but we got the W.

Someone watched one of my vids!! haha, yeah, tho, it's crazy... it's crazy. Just gotta get people their looks, if I play make inside, my boy does the pg, and now we found a reliable 3rd (fluxie,) we are beating dudes stupid hard. People wanna shoot their little jumpers over bots or whatever, and we let them shine, too. I understand it now, but yeah it sucks that the 2k meta is such that people don't KNOW. That's why I say 2k should teach people how to play basketball, and if not. I WILL.

Remember, guys, I'm almost positive and can almost positively prove we have two distinct brain structures. I learned this thru net and other gaming. I studied hard loool. "Why are you lazy stop" "why you sulking stop" There is an inherent rhythm between A and B, but B cannot really understand metaphors. They see them, but they don't see them as a quantum possibility.

This is very badly written because I am communicating literally. We have to always be completely clear and literal, but our language system is outdated. You have to learn to understand language and not assume the worst. You need each other.

Type A: Really good at one thing, shooters usually in gm, dribble gawd, give them touches, don't resent their ****. They put a lot of work into it.

Type B: Sees possibilities. Cannot live in the moment. People who can't shoot but are really good at defense are usually b. The goal is to establish vibe. VIBE. That's a word that connect everyone. Remind dudes BE CALM AND JUST VIBE. They made all of the cool phrases into memes.

You want ideally type A at PG to manage the team, to probe for pass then give up to type a B who has observed everything then have him give it to a type A to make a play... well I mean it can get more advanced, but people learn to resent words. They learn to resent learn to play. Don't resent. Get off YouTube for your game if you're not creating content. That stuff is trash. I don't do that for anyone but just it's funny for me to watch. It's astounding sometimes haha.

          QUANTUM PSYCHOLOGY.

I am type B dominant but I def think 2k is pretty well balanced. If you are getting wet up, you do need to improve or your build is bad. It's really predatory, but you need to do science to build a player. lol. It's not a casual choice. That's your player for A WHOLE YEAR. Also some people make multiple my players and some don't, weird! Some keep making them haha. I know it's stupid to make like 5 myplayers, but I spent a BILL on 2k VC. I maxed my PF and I created a shooter. It was worth it. I would advise anyone to stop resenting 2k, the best investment is just paying the 100 up front. They are making it too hard otherwise. Don't buy the special edition or whatever, just buy 2k and buy 100 dollars worth of VC. It's on sale for 70 sometimes. 7 appeals to B brain. They know about this brain stuff. They have to? Or they almost know.

In metaphor: when you say ready type a thinks you mean I'm ready. When I say you ready, I mean are you ready for this haha. I love people who play with me. It's a game. It's not wrong. That's why sports exist, so we can work out all our angers at the problems in our lives tbh. Or that's how I feel.

I wanted to stay on the net cuz the world was trash, but then they started messing up the net, too. :o

              Re: 2k23 The Rec

              Hello everyone

              I'm French and playing NBA2K since 2K11

Basically the 2K French Community ( REC / PRO AM ) has been killed by the "comp" community and 2K21 / 2K22 Next Gen.

Recently i've went back to Rec Random playing as a Center, and surprisingly i've been enjoying the game so much Still some stuff to patch but the base of old Sim 2K seems to be back.

I've played on a Jokic Build even if i've f*cked up my Rebouding Stats I'm still getting lot of Boards especially when my PF is boxing out

Always looking for teammates to run Rec with.
I don't know if there's an OS Rec Team ?

Some Highlights i've made, don't mind the voice, i'm speaking French

              For 2K24 i'm looking to make :
              Jokic Center Build
              Aaron Gordon PF Build
              Murray Guard 1/2 Build

              God Bless

I'm waiting till next season to try and play online again.

Haven't played in so long I'm LVL 1 again. I'll wait till everyone resets so I can blend in with the bums.

                  A vid. Aha.

Highlighting, again, one of the greater flaws of Rec: extended bot play.

I played nhl on ps4 and they would end the game if 3/5 people quit. There should definitely be an option to quit and take the L and your teammate grade as the last two. I think 2k punishes hard for quits, so I don’t. This one was us winning, and you can see the 4th quit out at half time. What fun. Chasing one dude around for a whole half.

I don’t blame him for not quitting tho, cuz like I said, why quit and be penalized?

They should make the AI much better.

Right now its probably on pro orso.

AI needs to be on HOF…

Bots are just problematic. Too easy to contest, they don't go to the rim aggressively so they end up, like you pass off and they get a 5 foot lane to rim and they shoot a jumper AND MISS. Almost every time. I've def seen bots do alright tho. It's funny to see them rip someone up and if a bot gets it from you and goes on the break, I'm letting him take it coast to coast. lool so funny to watch that. Or people getting blocked by bots. I've def got a few inside. There's nothing THAT wrong with their ratings, tho they are way broker than they should be. I played a game where dude was being weird and he passed off to a bot for a buzzer beating 3. We were down 2 and won. I was like WOWWW. It was contested and everything.

It's more in how they behave. People being able to just shoot over them is wack. Even if they overplayed and people could drive by them, at least that gives you a chance to help. Then I usually inbound the ball as C, but when people quit out they choose the bot to always inbound so people can call for it, and if you cut off the passing lane right on the inbounds, the pg can't get a proper catch, either. There is no other option, imo, other than ending the game once there are too many bots. It's already bad to have 1 or 2, but once you get 3 it should just be like "would you like to forfeit due to bots..." cuz like I said people quit out and leave you. They don't take responsibility for their bumming. haha. Leave you down like 20 to 4 or something and then quit out. So you gotta play the whole freaking game with bots or take the quit.

                      Bad mojo.

Im curious on who had the bright idea to program the AI to have horrible releases on wide open shot.

AI got sharp takeover and manages to release a wide open J very late ….

                          Thats just ******** programming…

No doubt... well, I know they don't want AI to be good, but the fact that they are so broke is really a big thing, cuz nobody guards them. Still, like I said about that AI hitting a game winner, I know people don't want that, either.

I feel like 2k wants to punish people for not having 4 friends though. haha. I've seen AI do some stuff, tho, they can get in passing lanes etc. But yeah those jumpers... wide open, or even y'know you pass to one to swing around and he inexplicably jacks a shot, and he's like a non-shooting big or something. It's like... ....

I feel like the Rec A.I hits enough shots tbh

You can’t rely on them to carry the offense, (which is fine by me) but they hit enough to keep defense honest

Their defense is a whole different story though, The random helping and leaving their assignment is frustrating…along with their lack of contest

But THIS VID. Why does overall color exist? Is it just for show? If I get it on a team with three purples and a gold (as a squad, I promise,) there is NO WAY they should match us up with the guys they matched us up with. I would have tried a lil more if I knew we coulda won by 100, though haha.

It was such a snoozer I wasn't gonna put it up, but two plays were awesome, to me, they actually got a double oop. I can't be bothered to time stamp it, but I think it was in the second half? And I had a nice jump steal where I jumped and batted the ball off the dude who was inbounding. It was luck, but it looked cool.
