I feel like i played in a league w u way back then you went to Xbox?

I just fist pump. Fist pump done right can be a slap on the butt like good job. Flopping was always annoying to me til u could do the dive flop. I mean I’m trying to win but the act of a fist pump after your teammate does something awful is v cathartic.

Also nearly always we get on the same page. I can communicate thru fist pumps haha. It’s just some people get salty but it’s like you just rose up for a j and dude stuffed u and it went off ur foot out of bounds. Yea that’s a fist pump.

I knew your name looked familiar. I think we played a lot of games together many years ago.

Love the fist pump move. Might steal it.

If it’s you, I was beating everyone and they were all mad at shaq and you had rockets (2k Yao,) posey was injured for my heat so you just sagged off with t Mac. You also got like 40 on curls off base line picks for him. I will never forget that cuz i was in a no win situation. I’ve lost some games, and that was back when I was “good,” so yea those losses (2 iirc) sting! If it’s not, it’s not, but that’s the association I make. Was like 2k7 iirc.

Yea, it was definitely me, Smak. It was the 2K with Shaq on the cover. 2K7 maybe. So yup this was over a decade ago. Oof, showing my age! I used to be like whatever happened to that dude, but I guess I switched platforms because by 2K8
            I was on 360.

I remember you got on me about off balling in the lanes with Battier. And I did try to adjust
to on-ball a bit more. But he was so money in the lane.

I was better then, too. I don’t even play the lanes anymore. Lol.

              Re: 2k23 The Rec

Played a couple of Rec games with my 81 ovr Dennis Rodman build. All have been loses but we’ve always had a chance though there have been a couple of games we’ve lost mainly due to my teammates who can’t stop chucking up 3s and bad shots. Then a few where we choked had the lead the whole game then lost it in the 4th quarter. I also deserve some blame too because I have a lot of bad habits.

I hate it though when 2K decides to start me at Center. If the Center on the other team is pretty good that’s an automatic L for me.

Also the AI sucks this year. If you have AI teammates expect them to get roasted and get 25+ dropped on them. They play terrible defense.

They shouldn't allow full pro am teams to target practice in the rec against randoms and they should take out the ai joining the lobbies.

And the baddest part is they took out the stats and team mate grade averages in the pre game lobby !!

Who ever made that decision is idiotic to say the least and on top.of that there is no penalty for quitting ..they also took that out so now its quit fest !

Disappointment is heavy for rec because i play rec only and myNba .

Hope they put back stats in pre game lobby but i doubt it !

They allow quitting too and it doesn’t affect anything?!? That’s bad but since their isn’t a way to even gauge who you’re about to be playing with, this maybe cool for me when I do start running REC with randoms. I can just leave if people is playing wild and start up a new one.

This is good to hear. I had so many games last year and mainly in 2K21 where my team would quit on me and I would be a issue just by myself (it’s cool to have the cpu hit you soon as you call for it when you open offball [emoji23]) but the other team would start triple teaming me and sometimes I would pray to god if my cpu teammates could just make them be a little honest by knocking down their open jumpers.

I am surprised to hear they actually hit now because as far as MyCareer HOF, my teammates still miss a lot of open shots. I don’t know why 2K does this. It’s been like that for 3+ years now where my teammates can’t shoot when open.

I gotta say i've played a lot of multiplayer games in my life, with various people, but I have to admit that such toxic, malicious, angry people as in Rec or Nba 2k in general have never met.
I mean people are so damn angry, aggresive, you miss one opportunity, and they are furious instantly, gonna stop passing you

Recently was thinking, why there are so many malicious one here, maybe because basketball is played in large numbers by lowlifes with certain background, i don`t know.

Anyway 2k community is on another level.

Basketball is played by many different people, with many different backgrounds.

Interested to know the “certain” background you’re referring to?

In NBA 2K20, there were times that i actually preferred the AI teammates, lol. I actually won my fair share of games with them.

I can't get over the fact way back in 2k21 or 2k22 forgot which one. We won the game but these two guys on my team were arguing the entire time. Like bro we won stop fighting.

I used to play super competitively and i will admit i was toxic. When i was toxic i was trying to start a YouTube channel and i didn’t really have much going on in my real life which added to my irregular mood swings online.

Now that I’m older i understand that the game just isn’t THAT damn serious. A lot of younger ppl on 2k these days are likely just not that mature

Honestly...I don't think that I was that toxic even when I was younger. Me and my friend was still playing basketball into our early 40's. I eventually stopped, because I injured my back in my mid-30's, and it finally forced me to stop playing. However, when I was still playing, I remember playing games on Sundays at the "old men's gym"...you all know what I'm talking about, lol! On this day, some young fellas showed up. They were like in their early 20's. We were playing games, and all I could think of was how much trash talking that they were doing every single minute of the game. It was basically borderline disrespectful. No, it was disrespectful. If I still had my hops, I would have told my teammates to "plant" him in the paint, so I could rise up and dunk on him.

My team managed to beat their team (like MyPark, they must have thought their youth was going to carry them to a win), but they will still yapping. Me and my friend looked at each, and I asked "Were WE like that when we were younger????".

Finally, I had to do the Damian Lillard motions while screaming "Next!".
