Are Team Designs broken in MyNBA or is this just happening to me?

Currently, I can't download Team Designs for League Expansions. I get the error of "Have trouble downloading team designs try again" I read this was happening a few years ago with corrupted saves but this is a fresh MyNBA (Modern Era) save. No matter what I do nothing works except for one really stupid workaround.

• Fresh Saves don't
• Trying again of course, doesn't work
• There are no updates pending and restarting doesn't work

The only way to download custom team designs for League expansion is to use one of the premade 2k expansion teams and then once that's established relocate the team and then download a user design. The problem with doing it this way is you either have to do this when starting a new season in the Offseason period or instead of getting the expansion team 1 season later it takes 2 (one for the team to be added and another for them to be relocated)

Yeah, the server stability for downloading team designs is really bad. Apparently they put in some kind of profanity checker and it causes issues (and doesn't even block the crazy amount of porn on there).

Ugh, that sucks. I guess I have to use the workaround to bring in Vegas and Seattle until this gets fixed and who knows when that will be

Wait so can I still change the thunder to the Seattle Sonics using a shared team design? Or does this only account for League expansion?

You can redesign the Thunder back to the Sonics.
People have been doing that for years.

I personally relocate the Clippers to Baltimore because
A)Baltimore needs a team
B)Clippers branding is perfect for Baltimore (google baltimore clipper)

I just hate how you lose so many presentation options

You can redesign the Thunder back to the Sonics.
People have been doing that for years.

Yeah, it's disappointing. I wish they could use a name say filter like they do for created players for teams.

Having the crash issue tonight downloading a team design. Sad part? It's MY design.

Yeah but it goes beyond saying team names, or at least it did for the past several years. I haven't tried yet in 2k23 but previously when you used an expansion team or relocation team you didn't get any pregame show

Every time I go to download a design I either get that error prompt or it gets stuck on Saving Team Assets until the end of time. Hopefully they figure it out.

Still just three. The whole thing of making your own jersey and uploading your own icon is cool and all, but when it crashes during download half the time and you lose most if not all presentation options, it doesn't feel any better than Madden's create a team, and theirs hasn't been updated in 10 years and still feels crappy.

Looks like it's happening throughout MyNBA Eras for redesigns + expansions.

I have images sitting on the server that I've uploaded but having been waiting a day+ to access. It wasn't like this at launch, making me think they treated it like a few years ago where images would be uploaded and taken down following reports. However, it appears they've changed that in the past few days and are going back to a system like last year where each image it vetted before made accessible rather than relying on the report system. Shame.

That's where it first happened to me in MyNBA although I was playing in Modern ERA so no idea if it's different for the others.

In case anybody else was wondering, the patch this morning on PS5 did not fix it.
