Re: Patch 1.006 on PS5
They've been doing online stability fixes since the internet was created and yet the game is still a mess online. Stutters, frame skips, button presses delayed by 1 second or more, sluggishness so you can buy Gatorade I guess, and plenty of server errors and crashes.
Typical 2K experience. And people are crying about VC. Priorities people.Comment

Re: Patch 1.006 on PS5
It pays to:
1) Have a physical copy of the game.
2) To install a copy of the base game offline without any patches.
That way you can have one copy of the game where you get all the patches and updates, and one copy that has no patches but you can use the updated rosters and still have the Debug Feature as well as the edit feature where you can just use LT/RT to switch between players.
As far as sports games are concerned, I'm done with digital copies and having to be stuck with whatever the latest patch is."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Re: Patch 1.006 on PS5
Since installing the patch I can no longer call plays on either offense or defense no matter what setting I change. The playcalling menu never shows up on screen, anyone else experiencing this or have a solution for me. Additionally, now the computer is putting Isiah Thomas as a reserve before every game, no matter how many times i try to override it.Comment

Re: Patch 1.006 on PS5
This goes back to the update before this one --- but what's with the player editor no longer allowing you to use L2/R2 to cycle through your players in the editing screen? That made for slightly faster player editing -- instead, you have to back out, save the player, return to the roster list, select the new player, and choose Edit, for each player... Also, the player's name above the player is gone, and you can tell something isn't right because it just says "Team:" on the upper right with no other text.Last edited by iLLWiLL; 09-22-2022, 01:39 PM.Comment

I have a physical copy (PS5)—how do I do this? If possible, I want to be able to use the debug option as it was pre-patch and use MyEra teams in Play Now.

Re: Patch 1.006 on PS5
I'm not sure how it works on PS5, but on the Series X you're able to copy the game from the internal storage to an external HDD or SSD. So, basically what I did was on Day 1, I installed the physical copy of the base game while being offline onto my internal storage. I then copied that same build onto my SSD Expansion card so I'll always have that build to play offline.
The install on my internal storage is the one I use for patches, roster updates etc. As long as you have the physical copy of the game, you can use the updated rosters, Franchise saves etc. because the saves are local on your console; whereas the saves from the digital copy is on the cloud. The only time I use my SSD Expansion is when I'm offline to ensure no updates get installed.
So, if the PS5 allows you to make a copy of the game onto an external HDD/SSD then that's the way to do it."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Re: Patch 1.006 on PS5
If you’re like me and have no love for the modern side of the NBA, this isn’t a real big issue lol but there is a tradeoff. This trick is mostly for the sim heads and old school fans because then you can’t play online, myTEAM or myCareer.Last edited by Champy123; 09-22-2022, 03:15 PM.Comment
