what sso you want to have explained? it is exactly now it is written There. at least on current gen, Not on old gen. if you Set ACE to Off or to Defense only, then you cannot Change the setting for offensive rebounding and offensive Tempo.

I can't get offensive tempo to stick in the quick menu, not matter what I do. Are you able to get the in game tempo to work on offense? Aka push the pace

i am on old gen, the bug/Feature does Not exist There. you can use all the OTF settings There though i honestly dont Know if any of them have the desired effect.

I feel like it doesn't matter if I set ACE offense on or off, my settings either get changed by the CPU if its on or they get reset to auto if its off. So the user loses either way? What am I doing wrong?

Has anyone found a way to make the AI defend the pick-and-roll with more than the two players directly involved, despite these settings not working 100%?

I know in MyLeague, for example, you can control all 29 others teams' defensive settings and tell them exactly how to defend your team. It's not perfectly ideal, but I could try it.

I feel like maybe some combination of high (75+ for all teams?) Help Defense coach sliders, "double-team on drive" for slashers/pick-and-roll ballhandlers, and maybe some others, would go a long way.

You do nothing wrong, the offensive tactics are completely broken and 2k does nothing, nothing nothing.... If one thing, they say that next year it will be better, buy it !Already last year and there again this year more than a month after the release.

You can't control the tactics manually. And sometimes some changes have no effect at all especially rebounds and tempo. Some people here will tell you that it works, but they are wrong (with ace on or off). The tactics are completely broken: Try it, make your own opinion

Help defense sliders in coach settings

Definitely a good start, but the help tends to come late, even when it's at 100, at least from what I've seen. And even then, players tend to be left wide open at the three-point line in help situations, because the AI doesn't do a great job of helping the helper and the helper commits too hard to protecting the paint.


It's far from ideal IMO.

help rotation gets triggered once the ballhandler Sets a foot into the paint. thats why i Play "force middle" since i learned that. through the middle the defenders reaches the paint earlier than through baseline.

Ive found rotate to open man leads to more on ball switching, rather than switch.

Question. In game do the defensive and offensive settings switch back after you apply them to the cpu?

I tried doing this last year and it seemed like everything would get switched back.

Something to try would be having control of all 32 teams in the menu and setting the CPU Gameplan there. Might have to try that out. Never thought about it until now. Would be a massive game changer.

Edit: Doesn’t appear to work. Goes back to CPU default. Unfortunate.

Not existing in old gen....i See more and more settings and functions everyday that are missing in my game just because 2k doesnt let me buy current gen for PC.... no wonder we report mixed results and Observations when we All have different settings available to us.

Instead of doing that, you can just control all 30 teams (assuming you're in a MyLeague) and change the matchups vs Dallas. Might have to check in every now and then because of transactions and stuff, but that's always my go-to.
