    Draft Pick Trading

I'm doing my team but I want clairifation on draft pick trading.

Which one leads to me getting the more favorable of the picks? Me swapping my best or worst?

For instance, let's say for trade finder I say I'm dealing my first. Do I say swap best or swap worst, in order for me to get the better 1st round pick?

When I do trade finder and select swap best, a trade offer comes up saying "1st round pick (my team), swap worst with (other team)".

Does this mean I'll wind up with the better 1st or will they?

The team receiving "Swap Best" owns the more favorable pick.

So if you were looking to trade, you would select "swap worst" on your end of the trade, so the pick coming back to you is the "swap best."

If it comes up on the trade finder that you are sending out the Swap Best on your end of the package, the other team would be getting the more favorable of the 2 picks.

I guess I'll see when the draft rolls around if I made the right move.

I used trade finder and was offered a pick swap plus getting a 2nd round pick.

The team who offered it is bottom 5 in the league now (this was a preseason offer).

If you go into the "view future draft picks" screen, you should be able to tell. If it shows "swap best" then you have the better pick. If it is past the trade deadline, and you can't enter that screen (I think this is how it works, but can't exactly recall. Dumb if so) you should be able to see it in the transaction report.

If the trade was nothing but a pick swap and a 2nd, you'd almost assuredly have the worse of the two picks though. Wouldn't make sense to add a 2nd and also give you the more favorable pick.

My team is the better of the two anyways, so worst case, they don't swap picks and I get a 2nd for nothing.

I got tired of guessing trade values too, so I started using axiomtrade.xyz to see if my trades made sense. It gives you a quick idea of whether picks and players are balanced without making it complicated. Helps avoid overpaying or getting burned on a rebuild.
