What's with all the updates?

I get a prompt every other day to go to Main Menu and update. What are they messing with?

It's 2K's way of frustrating everyone by tweaking little things with no notes or indication of what they changed to keep us all in the dark but on edge of our seats. Truly, it's a mystery.

I assumed it was mostly daily content updates for online gaming sorts of things.

I admit, it's quite a bit annoying to have that "update needed" pop-up lingering in the bottom left corner of the screen. Sort of defeats the purpose of next-gen's ability to pick up where you left off because I know if I leave a game and come back to it the next day, I'm just going to have to deal with that giant pop-up the rest of the way.

They like to make a great game, draw everybody in then break the game and frustrate their supporters so that they'll buy the next upcoming game. Still on season 2 with internet disconnected and refuse to go down the slider rabbit hole (people are pulling their hair out on here about it lol). Pros of being an offline player minus sacrificing some shoe updates but the gameplay is content. I really wish they'd get their stuff together and find a better way to install these updates or at least make them optional. I know the goal is to make money but the greed of online catering is affecting everybody when they should be trying to balance it.

i've been getting false out of bound calls. A few games were I passed to some one on the baseline, their foot doesn't touch the line, whistle. quite a few games driving to the basket, hop step gather, whistle blows, excellent release. pause game and look at replay, never even touched the line. wtf? hang dribble explodes cause you to step out legit though if you are near the line.

This is why I’ve put the game away until it’s all done lol. I had been keeping it offline but I turned online on to download a game. I missed stopping 2k from downloading and it updated.

The developers truly ruined what was once their most enjoyable game that they have put out in years. It's unplayable now (franchise mode) and is nothing more than a brick tournament on who can miss the most layups, mid-range, and 3 pointers.

We played our first conference finals game yesterday and we were bricking shot attempt after shot attempt. My opponent then told me that he saw on his shot meter (i play with shot meter turned off), that the release window for a green release is only half the size it was before and for Jimmy Butler (74 3pt) he doesn't even see a green window). We were also bricking lots of free throws.

Why are they changing the ****ing game all the time...it was so good at release and now we have this unplayable nonsense.
