Re: How to remove random generated players from historical draft?
Hopefully 2k is paying attention and doesn't include a bunch of high rated generated players to historic draft classes in NBA2k24Comment

Re: How to remove random generated players from historical draft?
this is what I'd do, but I always have problems w/ peoples rosters. The names being right and such is GOOD. I got my own sliders etc tho so they need tinkering. But yeah, use other people's work. Haha.
They need to make more things share-able. As I said before, WE NEED ROTATION TEMPLATES... like scoring 6 man template, platoon template, 2 stars but always have 1 on the floor template... etc etc.

Re: How to remove random generated players from historical draft?
Strictly speaking, unless things have changed on next-gen, I don't believe this is realistic due to the number of players required to be in a draft class. It's well over 60... more than the vast majority of draft class creators bother making. You'd be lucky to find a 2023 draft class with only real players, and I suspect that there are few if any historic draft classes with 100% real players.
That said, the common strategy for years has been to simply tank the ratings of the fake players. Personally I just make a fake, low-rated, age-40 player (so he retires soon) named something like "Filler zzPlayer" (so he's low and out of the way alphabetically) and overwrite all of the fake players with his DNA.Comment

Yeah I think the bigger issue is 2K puts generated players in there that have really high potential. I had one iteration of the 2003 draft where a created player was mocked to go above Melo, Wade and Bosh.Comment
