This is more of a rant so it might be written in what may seem as .. sporadic. The disclaimer is I’m a lifelong fan, and I mean zero disrespect.

MyCareer needs to be revamped now.

I don’t want to speak about the actual intricacies in the storyline, but rather the character. This character comes off extremely corny. Just as past 2Ks since the rpg element was implemented fully.

Also, every game doesn’t identify as a black man. Now as a black man, I’ll ask the question. Why are white gamers not accounted for when creating these storylines? Lol, it’s crazy.

I’d imagine it’s 2023… there must be a way to make the storyline more … natural. For every user, of every color. Maybe voice recordings? [emoji848]

Furthermore, I don’t want to skate around a city to play an offline game. Contrary to popular belief, some people want to actually play the games in the season. I don’t want to jog through an arena. Run into a wall. The tunnel thing is cool.
But what about the outdated HUD? (The point tracker on the top right)

Has 2K touched the HUD in the last 10 years? Please. Change SOMETHING. Make it bigger, make it stretch across the screen. Give us advanced stats. Give us dynamic challenges. JUST TRY SOMETHING NEW. We, the customer, shouldn’t have to ask for this. Please continue to be innovative.

I won’t touch on gameplay too much because that also needs to be tuned to how basketball is played in the 2023. But please tune the AI players to play like their real life counterparts. Better yet, play like your rating. I play on Orlando. 38 games in, PBanchero is averaging 8 points, shooting 5 threes a game. What is in this man’s DNA??? What are tendencies for if no one will actually tune them.

Give us presentation!!!! Make the game look nice. Just program in some eye candy for us. Player of the month awards. Highlight films, with REAL footage of our highlights. Give us a better replay system. Give us better in game shots. CHANGE SOMETHING.

I’ve been a fan for a long time. Please don’t ruin the full potential of this game. You have a chance to truly replicate basketball.

What do you all think? Maybe a developer might see this!? Maybe not, I don’t know these days.

As a MyCareer player... couldn't agree more

Especially on the AI side, your teammates just become soooo bad and dumb. Cant make shots, this is completely stupid
Even the opposite team's AI needs to be better

It came to a point where I created my player and just played my career in the MY NBA mode with sliders

As long as the AI is coded to actively sabotage me I don't know if I can keep playing this series.

Looooong stretches of gameplay feel like my controller is fighting me. The AI gets super sticky on defense. I'll be on fire and can't make a bucket. My teammates do 2nd grade dumb level things an NBA player would NEVER do. The ball has miraculous physics that favor the CPU.

I mean... It's fun when it goes well. But when this game decides NO it is the most obvious troll in any video game out there.

They should focus on game modes such as :

Rec No Quad with Ranking system based on MMR , such in League of Legends.

Also for Park Players i guess one Park only would be good, no affiliations.

Add Cross Platform XBOX/PS5

Just turned off a career game after the first quarter. I'm 7/7 and 4/4 from deep, but I can't get anyone but Luka a bucket.

This is my entire complaint with career. It's ENTIRELY too easy for me to score. But it is SO difficult to get my teammates to play COMPETENT ball. Even if my teammates are SUPERSTARS.

My PF doesn't have any of my dribble animations or my jump shot animations I'm used to for my SF. So theoretically he should be harder to score on.

But HES shooting 55% from deep for his career with an 80 three rating. 64 overall from the field at 31PPG.

See what I mean? I'm THA GOAT and I actively TRY to get my teammates involved.

Lolol...

15 point lead at the half. The SECOND they show Luka scored 12 points after a bucket the dude THROWS 5 possessions away. I'm talking he sets up a screen and IMMEDIATELY yanks 3x. They ran a play for me, I score. Luka goes 0-3 the next 3 possessions. Coach sits me, down to a 4 point lead.

The ONLY way this game can "compete" with the user is to close the basket for my teammates and force ME to take every shot.

I hate it I hate it I hate it.

First half, my team shot 69% from the floor. Absurd, I know. But hey... Teams get hot.

I had 25/5/5.

I scored twice in the 3rd. My team shot 29%.

I didn't do anything different. I was running the plays the CPU drew up for me.

I'm on All-star.

I'm so friggin crazy that I hallucinate this game is trolling me. I make countless threads year after year that something smells fishy.

I literally had to shut down my PS5 while playing this game because it said it was running too hot. I was idle while typing this message.

I love basketball. I really do. I want to love 2k. I've loved it for years and years.

But this game literally makes me feel depressed more than any other game I've ever played.

What, as the user, can I control when they sell me a game that is broken? And I mean utterly shameful the ways this game sells itself as "simulation".

Don't get me wrong, purely as a statistical number I understand that basketball teams have sways like this. That's never been my complaint.

But EVERY game is the same. I do well, the game does everything in it's power to take my abilities away. It's not an organic feeling, either. If the defense was just playing good D. If the same exact players that were lighting it up in the first place didn't ALWAYS exhibit the same patterns. Players go on streaks, they don't LOSE THEIR GD MINDS for 9-10 minutes of a game.

Players take bad shots. They don't throw up 8 bricks and 4 turnovers in a row simply so the other team can get back in the game. Sure... If it were parsed through the game or the quarter sporadically it wouldn't be so noticeable. But doing well then REALLY REALLY BAD to doing AMAZING is more bipolar than I am. Lmfao

Basically? The mobile tactics... The constant nerf and buff of every aspect of the game. Bro... This game absolutely made a ***** of me.

I don't think I can ever give 2k another dollar after this year. Bro.

2k15-2k17 were the worse years for AI Teammates. I remember those years you had to score at least 40-50 to win games. It's always to score in MyCareer. You can score at least 20 points alone off hustle. 2k18 was the best year for me as far as Teammates. That's because in my 2nd year, I signed with the Kings and they had just drafted a generated #1 pick. He was a 6'9 PF and by his third year, he was a phenom in the game. From 2k19-2k22(skipped 2k23), It wasn't as bad 2k15-2k17. I didn't have to score 40+ to win games. But, still had to have a huge impact to win games. For me, I never want to play like a superstar. I rather be the 2nd option or even a super role player.

For me, either add sliders to MyCareer or don't have difficulty affect AI. MyCareer has to be the online sports career mode that doesn't have sliders. I would love to change AI teammates sliders to have them play true to life.
