They can have the most accurate face scans, tattoos and accessories/shoes, but when they put it all together it doesn't look realistic because of the proportions.
People have been screaming for accurate body types for the last decade!
Just isn’t a priority for 2k and tbh I don’t think they have anyone capable to do it.

The “art team” now is dedicated to go karts and scooters of the city.

Player likeness is either very minor adjustments or importing an official scan. By the looks of it there isn’t anyone that comes close to the skill of modders that can create accuracy from scratch and is allowed to do it outside of the city stuff.

Now that Media Day has passed and preseason play is upon us, have anyone else noticed anymore changes?

I think it's fair to say that unless one is playing on PC, NBA2k whatever year it is, isn't going to visually look "Next Gen". You're right; it seems the artistic major focus every year since the introduction of MyPlayer has been stuff for online. The major push in making it downright necessary to pay to play this game online is evidence to me that all 2k really cares about at this point these days is making money. There isn't another NBA game on the market that can compare right now by giving them competition and take sales away from them, so why do they have to do anything to really upgrade their product to actually make it better? Visually, the game, at least on consoles, is underwhelming at best. The gameplay is best when you use quality custom rosters and sliders, which I do and for me, I don't touch online play because it's garbage for the most part. The thing that gets me every year is that we, the community, have TONS of the same problems with gameplay every year. EVERY YEAR. I can't understand it. It makes me sometimes wonder if 2k really ever improves and builds upon their game year to year. Seriously, seeing the same and/or similar gameplay issues, bugs, glitches, etc., it makes me wonder if we aren't all seen as just a bunch of testers for 2k, that they give us a subpar product every year with a fresh shinny coat of paint on the outside to test over the course of the whole NBA season while they update the game every other week or so with roster files and big patches every so often. Most of us seasoned with 2k, know we can bet with a good amount of certainty that with the next supposedly improved version of the game 2k25 will have similar gameplay issues and lackluster visuals on console. Overall for me, if 2k continues down the road it's on I'm probably going to pass on it for the next several years until I can see some obvious quality actual next generation changes. Like you say they seem to care more about go carts, jet packs, season passes, and building fictional cities we can jog around in...oh, and there is basketball somewhere in there too.

Ruins the game for me because I don't play that at all.

To whom it may concern. Great game this year, kudos all around.

Now, can we go back to the previous Mark Price face model? The new one is...not great.

Also, can we lighten up Mr Cavalier, retired jersey, fan fav, Austin Carr? He's about 6 shades too dark. Thanks again!
