Also I just can’t do another year of immense slider tweaks after every update screws up gameplay. I’ve got 2K23 playing so good now.

Mostly it’s because I spend many hours finely tuning and customizing rosters and it’s too time consuming. The game would have to be a huge upgrade for me to invest that time again after just a year.
Would you please mind sharing your slider adjustments, maybe they cab be uploaded?

I honestly think I am sticking with 23.

I think 24 is looking to be a solid game and is building upon the MyEra thing. So I have no issues with 24.

But I am having so much fun with 23, I don't see the need to start over from where I am in my franchise. I have put a lot of hours into my franchise in 23 and don't want to start over again.

I’m a little over half way through editing 2k23, there’s enough content here to last me a decade. I’m sticking with it for at least the next 2-3 yrs.

Always appreciate your slider making abilities.....correct me if I am wrong, but aren't you strictly a cpu vs cpu guy with NBA2K23?

            Thank you.

I play human vs CPU. I am just doing a full simulation right now from 1983 to 2035 so am not currently playing any games then I plan to pick a team and play with it. I am only in the 90s right now.

Had a Cavs franchise going earlier in the year but I wanted to do this big project as I had pretty much decided I was not moving forward.

Now if 2k eventually does a 1970 start I will buy again as I would have a chance to play the entirety of Cavaliers history. But until then 23 is my go to.

Why pre-order if you’re waiting till you finish Starfield? There are people who have been playing Skyrim for 10+ years and still haven’t finished the main quest!

Because I agree with a lot of you guys the little increments =1.5
And if 2k doesn't do something about transferring MYERA rosters in the near future
threads like this gonna come more often and thicker (pause) and might hinder some sales

I'm sticking with it until after release. I'll be on here asking MyNBA players if certain legacy issues were fixed. If it's the same under the hood legacy bugs like tendencies messing up and ridiculous generated draft classes in MyNBA then Ill just stay with 2k23.

I'm in the year 2034 in a modern day MyNBA and in 1990 in a Magic/Bird era mynba that I have no problem finishing.

Already preordered 2k24. I’m a modern era guy and pro play added so much authenticity. Mike Wang said 400!! signature jump shots and 500 advanced shots which is just ridiculous. He also mentioned routine inbound passes and other little nuances that will add so much to the game.

The older eras are great and all, but I wouldn’t buy Madden to play 1980’s football. I’m excited for this season and I’ll be excited for the next season and the season after that. I do hope we can get another great older era roster and draft class because I’ll for sure start another mynba alongside my modern era one.

Also the auto aging feature is great for older eras and hopefully they gave us a few other little surprises to the mode. But the modern era of the nba is damn good imo. I think pro play is a game changer.

I’ll play 82 games in the modern era. For the other eras I usually watch cpu vs cpu for the important games and sim the rest.

If it is confirmed what MJWizards said--that Quick Play/Play Now for Era teams does indeed utilize custom rosters, then I'll go with 2K24. I know that I'm missing out on MyEra, but I prefer Quick Play/Play Now over seasons, dynasties, and legacies in sports games.

Also, if MJWizards returns for classic team editing, I'll go with 2K24.

If none of the above happens, I'm 99% sure I'll stick with 2K23. The only other factor that could sway me is simply having the game cover with Kobe. I'm a collector (including an unworn pair of black Adidas The Kobe's), and having the Mamba Edition cover would be a welcome addition.

There’s a reason why the NBA is still so focused on older eras (in media, social media, debates, games etc.) and football isn’t. In my opinion and a very large consensus, basketball has regressed while football has progressed (of course many will also disagree, but look at any comment section of nba or nfl and you’ll see the former with tons saying how the game has devolved while nfl chats are generally not talking about that). Also nba ratings peaked in the late 90’s and I doubt that’s the case with football.

Madden will never have an eras mode cause they simply don’t need it. 2K on the other hand did it cause there’s a huge market.

I disagree. It has more to do with basketball being a more individual sport. The NFL has always been more popular in the US than the NBA, yet in terms of popularity / name recognition, the NBA GOAT is/was head-and-shoulders above whoever the greatest NFL player is considered to be. Even now, LeBron is undoubtedly the best-known American athlete, and Steph Curry is no less than equivalent to the top NFL stars in terms of popularity.

The NBA and its players have also tended to more openly reflect the styles & vibes of each era (sneakers, for instance, and also perhaps simply because there weren’t helmets covering their now-dated hairstyles), so there’s more of a nostalgia factor. Football is just much more anonymous than basketball, and the fewer human faces there are to remember, the harder it is to romanticize and feel nostalgic.
