If 24 would have been next gen with eras mode on PC I would have gotten it. Plus the constant drastic changes in updates messing with sliders I had. But since not I'm sticking with 23 on PS5.
Who’s sticking with 2k23 this year?

Day one Mamba purchase $99.99
$150 pack 700k VC
$160 HOF Season passes
$410 is what I plan to invest into this game. Nearly the price of the PS5 for one cycle.Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment

Some people enjoy playing online and maxing out their player immediately. This is what it takes sometimes
Although the season pass gives no attribute rewards. It’s all gear and other items so it’s not REALLY necessary.
I’ve already pre-ordered the $150 anniversary edition. The game + NBA league pass is all I need and I’m good
Hell, I wish they had an option to pre-order 2K25 cause I’d do it right now sight unseenComment

I pre ordered 2k23 last year myself, but spending over 400 dollars for a game just to max out my guy? No thanks. To each their own, but this is why 2K keeps doing what they’re doing when it comes to VC.

VC isn't going anywhere because the majority of players are still going to buy it. I'm guilty of it myself here and there. When I've got some expendable money, I'll buy VC so I can enjoy the My Career experience.Comment

Wasn’t going to buy it but my son wanted it so I went ahead and ordered it but now he owes me $60. I said I’d float him the last $15.
Maybe I’ll make it his early birthday gift.
But yeah, now I am in. But keeping 2k23 installed for now.

Based on what everyone has seen so far with 2k24, is it enough for you to purchase it day 1?
Personally I will be waiting for a price drop or even wait and see if it will become free on PS plus, and sticking with 2k23. I’m an offline guy only, and they really haven’t made much of a change to MyNBA/eras for me to move on from last years game.
Does anyone know if they fixed the economy a bit for the Career mode? Or is it still earn 800 VC for a stellar game and a t-shirt costs 5000 VC or whatever?
It's sort of killed my fun in the career mode that earnings don't buy you much, if anything to use on your character.
I'll be waiting for a sale I guess..Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Yeah another reason I'm not buying on day one. I mostly game on PC and yet the PC version is the old-gen so not interested at all in it.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20
