Re: NBA 2K24 Questions Thread
I don't get what I'm doing wrong and how I can't do a simple Embiid signature fadeaway. Pulling down on both sticks at the same time I only get it like 30% of the time. Something so simple is really frustrating me lol

Re: NBA 2K24 Questions Thread
I'm years in to my NBA2k23 Wolves rebuild on PS4. Is it worth upgrading to NBA2k24 on PS5? Saw it was only $10 for another day. I only play My League and wanted to know if that had any improvements. Not too concerned about any other modes or graphics improvements or anything.Comment

I'll play that from time to time, but I mostly play MyEras, starting with Magic/Bird. Seems about the same as the 23 but I'm okay with that.
The cut-ish scenes after you make a green shot is very nice.
For that price I'd say it's worth it.Last edited by Limasbravo; 06-11-2024, 02:08 PM.Space for rentComment

Does anybody know how you unlock all the shoes for a brand specifically in my career. In years past you would get every shoe once you completed a quest. i’ve completed my first season created my own custom shoe and still have a single pair of kobe’s. any help would be greatly appreciatedComment

Re: NBA 2K24 Questions Thread
Is it possible to be fouled on a jumpshot with real player % on? I've been doing some testing and haven't seen a single one in like 2 weeks of testing. If I turn it off I'm able to get tons of jumpshot fouls but every jumpshot has that really weird ugly landing, and the mod to remove it doesn't work on 24.Comment

Re: NBA 2K24 Questions Thread
Can someone who played both old gen (PC/PS4) and new/current gen honestly say is there much difference between them in gameplay?
2k24 old gen might be the worst game I ever played and I am on PC and really excited that current gen is finally coming to PC in Sept, mostly because of the eras, but it would really suck if there is no significant improvement already on new gen vs old gen in gameplay. Thank youComment

On the whole, new-gen player motion looks smoother and lifelike -- though IMO the new ProPLAY animations are hit-or-miss in terms of how they interact with ball animations -- but it's still standard 2K basketball. Actually, in my side-by-side experience of old-gen 2K23 and new-gen 2K24 (i.e., often playing 45 minutes on one, then immediately playing 45 minutes on the other), I have to say I find old-gen more responsive to my controller inputs than new-gen, at least on default sliders, and for me that translates to old-gen being more fun. New-gen seems less willing to let your controller input lead to an unnatural animation, which sounds like a good thing (and may be to some people), but in any video game there has to be a balance between visual realism and fidelity to user inputs (which are inherently unrealistic since they are via controller from unrealistically limited camera angles). To me, old-gen had a better balance here, but maybe with sliders one can fix new-gen. I haven't experimented with that.
I have pre-ordered 2K25 for PC but I'm skeptical that it will become my primary 2K. If 2K25 is very similar to 2K24, I may continue playing 2K23 on PC for fun and focus on 2K25 for modding (which I also do).Comment
