Re: If You are a Off Line MyNBA Player Remove ALL Badges for Best Gameplay Results
I've tried this, and I wholeheartedly DO NOT AGREE.
My main goal in adjusting sliders and badges is to make the computer play itself. I believe if cpu v cpu game play works well, the sliders are perfect. I've not gotten there, but I've made some really organic game play.
The problem with some badges is that they don't take into account other factors. Like, if a guy is 7 foot+, he shouldn't have more than bronze reb chaser, imo. But the difference between bronze and nothing is immense. If a guy like Kareem is 7'2 and has gold reb chaser, he is just flying all over the place and getting 30 rebounds a game.
A lot of the badges really help, though. I dunno if I can honestly think of one badge that I would say is bad for playing v cpu or cpu v cpu. I would suggest going through and downgrading badges first. I think you might find a better result giving everyone who has Hof the bronze version and taking badges away from everyone else.
The game without badges is just weird. Might be different in 24, but in 23 and before it was like that.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has 41 badges. 28 are Gold and only ONE is a Bronze.
Isaiah Joe and Gordon Hayward have 3 badges.
Cason Wallace, Aaron Wiggins, Jaylin Williams, Kenrich Williams have zero. Basically their entire bench rotation has 6 combined, despite the fact that most role players are specialists - they excel in one area but aren't good enough across the board to actually start.

Jumping into the LeBron Era roster:
Chicago Bulls
Derrick Rose: 40 badges (11 HOF, 21 Gold)
Kyle Korver: 5 badges (All Gold)
Luol Deng: 4 badges (All Gold)
Ronnie Brewer: 1 badge (Bronze Needle Threader, nothing for defense)
New Orleans Hornets
Chris Paul: 54 Badges (3 HOF, 21 Gold)
David West: 3 Badges (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze)
Emeka Okafor: 1 Badge (Bronze Killer Combos??????)
Of course the game is going to feel unbalanced when the design is so heavily skewed towards offensive playersLast edited by Real2KInsider; 06-06-2024, 08:18 AM.NBA 2K25 Roster: Real 2K Rosters - Modern Era

I’ve always liked the idea of the badge system, because I think we’ve moved beyond static numbers determining play on the court..
I think the last two posts nailed the issue right on its head.
In recent weeks I’ve played a badgeless 2k and a edited 2K where the badges were meticulously added/subtracted on PC and I would say the latter is peak.

To get around this on PC I built a badge generator that takes advantage of the data import/export functionality of 2K Tools (fan-made roster editing program). You export a player’s attributes, paste them into the generator (which converts the attribute data to appropriate badge data according to my system, which hands out badges much more sparingly), then paste the resultant badge data back into 2K Tools for the player. Takes only seconds for a single player, so it’s much less of a hassle to deal with every offseason, plus 2K Tools has some recently added batch-processing features that might make it even quicker, though I haven’t experimented with them yet.Comment
