The cut to basket nerf has finally made me uninstall this. It's basically just a lob now, with the person you're "leading" taking 2 random steps and stopping, with no momentum towards the basket, sometimes even moving away from the basket. What a bizarre nerf.

I'm not one to dogpile, but this entry in the series has just been a miss from the start. Here's to 2k25 being better?

So in order for us to see change, we have to be polite? We can’t show passion in our frustration? Us not being polite , gives them a pass to neglect change out of spite? They a billion dollar company remember? They shouldn’t feel personally attacked. All in all, This is a loser mentality. This is why we get roughly the same game every year. They Should absolutely care about “your favorite players” headbands and arm sleeves. Especially when said player is one of the biggest stars in the league. They pride themselves on being the most realistic representation of NBA basketball. They should go above and beyond to make sure the biggest stars of the league are accurately represented. Let’s not act like it’s always a bash fest in these threads. Like ideas and solutions aren’t being presented in these discussions.

“2K” isn’t a magic entity that grants wishes. It’s a corporation whose primary goal is to make money. Growing up is realizing this.

The people that actually share your passion are the developers that work hard on the game 10 out of 12 months. These are the people who you are telling they did nothing because you didn’t get what YOU want. Then you expect them to diligently listen to all your feedback.

It’s not about being nice….be passionate all you want….just don’t do it under the guise of trying to promote positive change….because that’s not what is happening.

They CHOSE to work for the greedy corporation, so what you’re saying doesn’t move me at all. They knew what they were signing up for. They knew they were gonna be on the front line, went it comes to criticism. It is what it is. They don’t get any empathy. It’s not that deep. If they feel personally attacked, rather than motivated to do better, then that’s just pure sensitivity, and lack of accountability. Pretty sure they don’t need permission from the CEO to change a hairstyle or add accessories to a player…Like I said, what you’re spewing comes from a loser “accept anything” mentality. How can our desire for better graphics (actually better anything), NOT be considered positive change? Oh because I didn’t make it sound nice? Give me a break.

Yeah man- I’m sure Leftos signed on with 2K, Got lazy, and completely forgot how to mod- You got it all figured out. Anyone adding nuance is just a loser.

I usually leave the board alone during this time of year anyway- back to my hole. Was just trying to inject some ‘grown up’ into the conversation. Nah what you were trying to do was sneak diss, like that other bozo in the thread.

Something’s are better left unsaid. You don’t see us Graphic heads, coming into gameplay threads , sneak dissing, trying to make y’all feel some type of way for enjoying the game. We let y’all gas it up in peace.

When the game drops, they always say "Hey hit the email and the discord for questions and concerns". When I was frustrated on DAY ONE of the Sixers 1992 jersey having the wrong colored number AGAIN, I hit them with an email with pictures and an explanation. I then went into discord and did the same with a few other issues. Season 2 I think, you see it updated along with a few other ones. FIXED

When someone pointed out an issue with the Orlando Arena and the Knicks PA system, they sent email and Discord... rep from 2k addressed and changed them. Conversations going on

The arena glitch (2k23) and the floor editor issues, same thing. They actually explained "Yo, this going to need some more time to make sure it doesnt mess up any things in the game so just hold on". FIXED later on.

You have tools to create change, will it IMMEDIATELY be updated and changed? NO. Do we need to be patient and realize these devs are ACTUAL PEOPLE with 9-5s to get these things addressed? YES.


We enjoy the game, we push for more, we see what they can def do.. but lets be real for a bit. Any issue or frustration I have had, I went to find a way to a solution, and so have many people to make the game better.

Also, are the accessories you are asking for not available in the game to put on the designated player?

If we all “chose” to work for companies that are not “greedy” we’d all be working for unicef. All of us have bills to pay and families to feed. As we get older our commitments get larger. Nobody is going to go work for a non profit and make $80,000 less a year because a company that pays them is to greedy. Maybe these developers love making video games and that’s what they have dedicated years of training and education to do. If we all “chose” to work for companies that are not “greedy” we’d all be working for unicef. All of us have bills to pay and families to feed. As we get older our commitments get larger. Nobody is going to go work for a non profit and make $80,000 less a year because a company that pays them is to greedy. Maybe these developers love making video games and that’s what they have dedicated years of training and education to do. You think they are going to refuse a healthy living at a very stable corporation like take 2 because they are “greedy”? Come on man.

RIGHT.

Also people saying "Billion $ company" as if people dont work 8 hours a day at a decent wage day in day out to take care of their ppl. People dont realize that one little issue can take WEEKS to figure out in programming, and thats just a convo a friend that does that stuff in real time told me.

I've been as frustrated with elements.of 24 as anyone but you can't go blaming 2k devs for what they prioritise. That comes from the top.

It's generally the lack of communication that bothers me more than what is and isn't updated/fixed. That to.me is something that is controllable and should be improved.

I'm not one to dogpile, but this entry in the series has just been a miss from the start. Here's to 2k25 being better?

I get why they did it but I think the issue was not the pass itself but both the way the defender plays the pass and the pre pass contact between the defender and offensive player. There needs to be more pre pass contact in general. Bomb passes and forced passes where the defender has good position need to go errant more frequently and people that have a defender or multiple defenders draped over them need not be able to catch the ball cleanly, if at all.

Granted, I'm on ps4 and it's a next gen only nerf, so it doesn't affect me.
Lead passing and the artificial momentum and speed it creates for the recipient has been a legacy issue that they refuse to fix along with teammate defensive settings.

I put leave him off ball and gap on ball on Biyombo, with a double on drive for Morant and deny ball for everyone else and Claxton is guarding Biyombo out at the 3 like he's KAT lol. And bench rosters are still the starting rosters.

And there still needs to be a way to have individual defenders stay home without using deny ball. Why is that not a thing?

...people could try talking about the stuff in the Jan 8 patch in the Jan 8 patch thread and the other stuff in the threads that already exist about those topics? I don't know, that might be a dumb idea.

Thats where I stand. The patch thread is a valid venue to criticize what has and hasn't been updated and potentially what 2k is prioritizing.

But agenda posting in multiple threads is effectively trolling. And saying that a person who disagrees with you is acting like a girl by whining is amazingly immature and should not be permitted.

Seeing someone say that makes me regret or feel guilty for making my comment about the honeymoon period being over because I don't want to be associated with that garbage.
