By dumb luck I was able to randomly access 2Konnect discord and found your post featuring your edit corrections. I grabbed a bunch of .iff's, and was finally able to get the good eyeuc gt hustle 3 mods from your discussion. I'm going to edit the jordan 39's with your transparent sole correction when I get some time, and mess around the the editable gt hustle 3's.

For anybody who's new to using mods, like I am, AX 2kLab just taught me my most valuable and simple lesson. If you download an .iff set, and the shoe (in the title) is set to overwrite something you want to keep, you can simply edit the name of the file as if you would any file. You change the title's ID number to what you actually want to replace, and when you put it in the necessary file, it will be where you want it. I could have put so many more sneakers in, but I didn't want to overwrite sneaker mods that I already had in place. I thought changing the ID would require actual programming lol. I hope I saved someone the headache and some time.

does anyone know if there is a way to use old modded shoes from 2k23/24 in 2k25 + what is the most streamlined way to make modded shoes in 2k25?

Such as? I don't think there are any shoes in 23/4 that aren't in 25? What modded shoes do you mean? Most of the ones that people released are just colourways painted on the dds files instead of using the shoe global method of mine that allowed almost infinite amount of shoes. Unfortunately we are not able to add items this year but there are 1000s of colourways that can be swapped.
Yes renaming shoe ids requires no programming skills. The style file contains the name of the shoe model so you could name style_5000 to 1038 and swap air 1s to Kobe vis for eg

Some mod makers on ko-fi will update some of their old 23/24 sneaker files for 25 by request. I’ve been trying to look for a step by step guide how to do it for the past few days. I think they’re using blender to do it, as long as whatever they wrapped is already in 2k25. Nobody ever wants to explain it in laymen’s terms or make a step-by-step visual on how to do it lol.

I think he means taking old individual 2k23/24 .iffs and convert whatever it takes to make them work in 2k25. Many of us don’t even know the bare minimum of the terms modders use or even what programs are needed to open the iff and do the conversion.

This video is about wrapping models that are exported from the game. All I’ve been able to find so far

Iffs can be opened with 7zip or winrar, both are free.

Most of these mods though should just work as is,
                      possibly with renaming.
You can extract the dds files from there and overwrite one you e tract from 2k25 with the tool extractor.
Don't think there are many actual shoe models edits, only one I know of is a Booker 1 edit.

I don't like most of the painted ones as they tend to have inverted logos on the right shoe and that bothers me.
Was wondering which shoes the guy wanted though?
The way they have done the shoes this year is so annoying, some shoes have pre-coloured files for some of the teams and variants but not all do and there is no real need for them as that can be done via global files.

They added the jordan 1 black toe reimagined to the 2k generic section to edit for some reason.. it can be edited but not equipped

There is no need to equip the generic shoe though? Just use the actual Jordan from the nike section? The generic swap just means you don't have to go through rosters editing everyone who uses the 2k shoe and also good for myteam and mycareer where we can't edit rosters
