Has probably been answered many times, but is it possible to change the brand of a player if it's locked?

Have noticed Yabusele is locked to Nike for some reason when he is wearing Adidas in real life.

Yes. Just export Yabusele's player DNA, save the file. Then import any NBA player to Yabusele, then import the saved file with the correct DNA for Yabusele, it'll unlock the brand. There may be other ways to do it but I find this the easiest.

This works great, thank you.

Kuzma and Ayton also need to be changed (they are locked to Puma but both are wearing Sabrina 2s this season, Ayton also wearing GT Cut 3)

Bam is also locked to the Jordan brand but is wearing Nike as well.

Trae locked to Adidas, but his partnership has ended and is now wearing AJ 39s. Bones Hyland locked to Under Armor but currently wearing Nikes.

Who’s going to be the one to risk getting cussed out, asking Kev about it in his ig DM’s?

Don’t think Kev has pull like that but I could be wrong. Nike and Mike might be better. A member here knows an employee that works for 2k that could be some help too. On a side note, I reached my limit and after making a boatload of shoes, I got some suggestions for 2k:
1. Make a true icey(see-thru) sole material
2. Let us change the colors of the patterns
3. Add a few patterns (numbers, letters, flowers and maybe some birds)
4. Open up more sections for shoes to edit and allow a block for too many sections being used in the wrong format.
5. Not a suggestion just a rant. I hate I can’t make the skeleton Kobe Vs that everyone is wearing.
If the next couple of of 2ks don’t overhaul the shoe creator I’ll just have to break down and get a pc because this game plays and looks too good for the shoes to be held back like they are. I know all is possible with pc for my personal needs and I know I may have missed some suggestions, feel free to add on for awareness

I hate that sneaker updates are tied to new Season updates. We are missing way too many new shoes. I also hate we can’t add Skechers and Chinese brands to players as a lot of players experiment with different brands when their sneaker deals expire for example I saw Terry Rozier and Jalen Green who was a Nike guy primarily, wearing Skechers Nexus. Just my rant.

I think the best solution for this is just for them to scan in more PE's and colorways with graphics.

What can you do with shoes via mods for the PC that you can't do on console versions? Can you change the color of patterns, or add base models (like the Kobe 5 X rays)? etc?

The last I heard a few years ago all you could do was have an increased amount of custom shoes and you could easily change brands for players, but I think that was a roster editor mod function.

A couple of years ago I seen a guy make the Bruce lee Kobe vs with the stripes plus some mismatch shoes so I’m assuming all mods are possible with pc if you know what you’re doing. This alone will make me make the jump but just not yet as I’ll only be playing this, Madden and NCAA on it

Nice. Yeah, I have been thinking to myself since the first time the shoe editor dropped that 2 really big changes they should add immediately would be to allow us to change the colors of the patterns per use, so if you use the same pattern 8 times on a shoe each pattern could be entirely different colors and then I'd like for them to add at least a horizontal gradient, if not a vertical gradient, per 'area' within the editor. I legit believed this year was the year for the pattern changes for sure.

Switching to PC was the best decision I ever made as a shoehead. Custom PE’s, mismatch shoes, unlocked editing, sharing shoes with other users, etc.

Would definitely recommend making the switch id you are able to
