Did any of you actually played against the Lakers in the playoffs? I hope not. Game has decided that Lebron is Lebron from 2016 or 2018, whatever, he doesn't miss any threes, his perimeter and post defense is A, noone can get by him, noone can score around the rim even if he is 2 steps behind, his 3 pointers are splash even if you contest them the hardest. He just scored 60 pts against my Wolves, i guarded him with J.Mac Daniels, threw double team, brought help defense with Gobert and did everything and was unable to stop him. I wished it was just 1 game. Whole series long he is averaging 40 - 10 - 10 + easily, and i play really hard defense on him and all Lakers. AD is from 2020 definitely, 40 +20 each game, i am barely 2-3 against them now, about to get eliminated after an amazing season run with the Wolves, 1st place in the West. I do not mind losing a game or series, no problem, with 20 years of NBA 2K experience i threw my hands up and said i can't do anything, i can't do better, i try everything but can't stop or slow these guys down. LBJ and AD. Especially LBJ. He is playing like he is Cavs LBJ- 2018. I hope you guys never play against the Lakers in the playoffs. Just saying...

What is the point in having a robust franchise simulation going for possibly 40 years (1984-2025) yet NBA 2k for all its massive size can't even provide the same functionality that a game like Football Manager has been able to provide for years and years: Where are the long term stats? Why can't I go through every single season record, every single playoff tree, every years player stats, every draft etc.? Why are players who retired basically gone from the system unless I saved their stats myself? I mean come on, that's the equalivalent of a couple of tables on Excel and you are telling me a game that today is nearly 1 TB in download size can't manage that for it's franchise mode?

Furtheremore, where are my banners? I ran the gauntlet, I fleeced other teams, I three- and four- and fivepeated and broke Russell's record so where are my banners??? Also were are the numbers of my retired players? I drafted MJ, why is his number not next to Larry's?

This is the lack of care that absolutely bothers me. I couldn't care less about the whole VC issue. I stopped playing MyCareer when we had the Spike Lee Joint and I couldn't care less about the Park or Roonie2Douche but honestly: This bothers me. Come on guys, the game ís friggin expensive. Give me some immersion here if you still can't be bothered to give to the retired player's association so you can finally get Chuck and Reggie in the game.

2K is definitely getting those Klutch checks with how LeBron’s rated.

96 rating for a guy who’s a second option on his team and averaged 24/7/8, arguably the worst/laziest defender in the league currently, 22 PER, and a nearly team-worst -54 plus/minus (NEGATIVE) is laughable.

Having the commentary tell me "you can't get caught on a pick" or "you've got to work harder to get over the screen" after getting caught in CPU screen cheese is one of the most infuriating gaming experiences ever.

Here is something that needs to die. Changing between Zone defense and Man to man during the game. No team operate like that.

Currently playing a MyNBA, using Popboy's sliders for contracts, trade logic, player development etc. Decided to let the CPU handle all of its own trades, signings and roster management. And holy hell, I knew it was bad, but I didn't realise just how inadequate the coding is. It's an absolute bloodbath. Some of the highlights:

- Houston making the finals with Amen making an All-NBA team, then trading him on the next draft night for pick #4
- Washington drafting a high potential big #2 overall, then waiving him after his rookie season
- Another CPU team, drafting someone in the lottery and then waiving him before the summer league
- Charlotte waiving Salaun after two seasons
- Memphis letting Edey's rookie contract expire and then not even making him a contract offer, despite him being their starting 5
- Chicago doing the same with Buzelis, despite him breaking out
- Dillingham becoming a quality starter for Minny by the end of his rookie contract, then signing a bargain deal with Phoenix because the Wolves don't match the offer
- No CPU team ever offering a rookie scale extension, leading to all first round picks becoming RFAs
- Trae Young leaving the Hawks and then bouncing around the league on one year deals while still rated 90 overall
- After previously never signing second round picks, the CPU now signs every single draft selection, leading to them waiving good players every offseason to make room
- Miami trading a 34-year-old Andrew Wiggins on draft night for pick #7

That's just off the top of my head. Roster logic is a mess, even with custom sliders.

Try out my NBA 25 Reality roster. LeBron is rated a 92 and his perimeter defense is significantly lowered.

Reading the initial remarks about this game when it was released in Sept. are like night and day. Everyone was SOOO pleased with the so called progress 2k25 made up until about late sept when the recent complaints began. CPU cheesing and shooting being too difficult has overcome the joy this game could have been. After months of trying i finally went back to 2k24 which has a much better balance to its game play. Im more of an old school eras guy anyways so I'm not missing the current NBA players at all. Definitely not a first day or first month purchase for me until i hear more positive or different reviews of 2k26..

So.. i decided to swallow my pride and finally adjust to sliders to the point the CPU could no longer cheat and cheese their way to a large lead and eventually a win. And gotta say im finally pleased with the outcome. The slider settings come after months of getting my tail kicked on mostly default settings by the cpu and tweeting to where the game play is balanced. I guess everyone's style it different. Im no exception. But i'd like to thing i play a very realistic game of basketball as seen on live and on tv. 2k truly needs to do a better job at tweaking their gameplay out of the box..
