That is correct. With Bill Russell's passing the Estate has to file paperwork either directly with 2K OR the NBRPA before Bill can be included. In an everyday situation that takes a lot of time processing, add in multiple organizations having to be involved it is likely they did not get it processed in time if at all. There are times in which the remaining family members do not agree on allowing the deceased to be represented and that can cause issues as well. With Russell being removed it left the 64-65 Celtics with only 5 players on the roster and 2K has a 6 person roster limit hence why the team was removed.

But that team had 10 players in 2K24. Russell's passing should have left them with 9, not 5. (??)

I am certain the backlash of having the team minus Russell would be way bigger than not having the team at all, regardless of size.

The 65 Lakers are probably going away in 2K26 with Jerry West's passing.

He's not on the current roster but he's in the game for eras and also the all time Hornets team.

He's on the Hornets in the Curry Era. I guess hes not on the current roster since he officially announced his retirement.

Kamilla Cardoso and Chennedy Carter are missing from the Chicago sky. They just generic models, even though they were in 2k24.

Huge development: Apparently roster cross-share actually does work between PC and console. I'm floored by this; I can't believe 2K actually allowed it. Anyway, what that means is that all of these 'removed' players whose likenesses are still in the game files can still be used, so no need for Create-A-Player Blake Griffin or John Wall. You can just use their normal faces, since they're still in the game. You'll just need to download the Player DNA (or a roster with them included) from someone on PC who has edited a Create-A-Player's face ID over to the official ones for Blake, Wall, etc.

We will also likely be able to give them their proper commentary, announcer name calls, etc.

Ya'll on console are lucky this year.

yeah I was able to get Kai Cenat's face scan on my PS5, I am sure it can work with other cyberfaces too as long as you do it on create a player. I don't know if 2K is generous or they will patch it, my guess patch it

Remember when S. NASH, Ariza, Bosh, Eddie House, (World peace) (Artest ) ,Norris Cole, Chris Andersen were missing at launch? I think 22 or 23. They came back later. Hopefully guys like Griffin and Wall will be back soon. Takes a bit to get a player back in who recently retired. Big names in general historically will be back.

I wonder if this means guys like Thunder Shaq and co's rosters could possibly come to console eventually, that would be huge, now that next gen is on PC the future of roster making is looking bright
