One of the things I track in the Real 2K Roster Spreadsheet are Player & Teamwide Badges from year-to-year.
This year is notable because the game removed 36 Badges, going from 77 to 41.
Despite the mass removal of badges, there are a few teams that actually WENT UP in total badge count. This is an indicator that 2K re-evaluated Badges for many players as they were going through these removals.
NBA 2K25 Badges
115 (-55) Sixers
103 (-61) Bucks
89 (-14) Bulls
94 (-59) Cavs
130 (-45) Celtics
100 (-49) Clippers
97 (-29) Grizzlies
86 (-2) Hawks
125 (-31) Heat
89 (+14) Hornets
75 (+9) Jazz
99 (-33) Kings
139 (-15) Knicks
120 (-40) Lakers
116 (+29) Magic
121 (-46) Mavericks
72 (-14) Nets
96 (-40) Nuggets
122 (+1) Pacers
107 (-37) Pelicans
91 (+5) Pistons
83 (NC) Raptors
123 (+19) Rockets
77 (-2) Spurs
103 (-55) Suns
104 (-2) Thunder
117 (-11) Timberwolves
103 (+15) Trail Blazers
119 (-16) Warriors
76 (-31) Wizards
Lottery teams were the biggest beneficiaries. There was a massive gap as 2K wasn't paying attention to the bad / small market teams. They appear to have closed the gap over the summer.
