I think the answers are no. All the Modder did was release players that are already on 2K roster. For example celebrities. Like Bill Russell. Now it's highly possible that they could try to create a player. But I'm 99% sure the face wouldn't translate correctly.

I think no, too--but hadn't seen it confirmed. The biggest thing I am interested in is 2K scenarios being cross platform. From what I have read, it is easier on PC to create an era year not already in the game.

Well how do you think Tools works? It just applies memory edits to roster-related variables. We're just making those memory edits directly (mostly via Cheat Engine).

Indeed the answers are no. Car analogy:

          2K25 = Honda Accord

2K25 on console with no PC cross-share = Honda Accord with a locked hood that only Honda-certified mechanics can open (for the sole purpose of making simple Honda-approved repairs / adjustments) and a legal restriction on buying new stuff that's used to alter the car in any way (can't repaint it, can't install a new stereo system, etc.).

2K25 on PC = Honda Accord that you can do whatever you want with; you bought it and it's yours; you can turn it into a pink helicopter if you want, so long as you have the right parts and know-how.

2K25 on console with PC cross-share = Honda Accord with a locked hood that any mechanic (but not you directly) can open for any purpose—they can fiddle around with whatever they like / whatever you want them to—but still with the legal restriction that the car must stick to the factory-shipped models of all its parts (no pink paint job, no custom helicopter propeller, etc.).

You went insane with the analogy. All I see are all friends Accords over the years [emoji1787][emoji23][emoji1787][emoji23][emoji1787]

He did—I was waiting for vetmin to say, “And for those of you who don’t have an Accord but take public transportation…”

But in all seriousness vetmin, I thought you mentioned that it is “easier” (forgive my word choice as well as if I’m wrong) for PC modders to create non-in game-era years, such as the 1995-96 season. Could this be something else besides cyberfaces that could/would translate from PC to console?

I was thinking about this as well, it's kinda interesting that because the files are sorta preloaded or hard coded into the game, wouldn't that mean, if someone on pc, made a full scenario, that even though that court was originally modded technically, it would have to load through the upload server?

No, PC mods are inserting modded files to replace the original. Let's say the thunder court files are referencing arena_017_floor and a PC mod has changed that arena_017_floor file to become supersonics court. Console players don't have access to that modified art file so they will see whatever arena_017_floor is on their game which would be OKC. This is why they can use john wall or Blake Griffin because their data is already found within 2k game files, but they won't be able to get a modded Charles barkley

Exactly!!!! Now if they use the tools that 2K has. Yes we can get those files like everyone else. I'm still very happy with unlocking players. I saw something today they there like 1000 of players on the rosters. Like a bunch that were either removed from an all time team or my team exclusive. If that case I'd love a Kobe Lakers team

Yeah tbh, I'd definitely be happy with that, would be nice to have the exact court, but 2k, did a pretty good job this year on the courts and the reflections are a welcomed touch forsure.

Are there rosters available to download now? Is there a recommended one that adds missing players?

Looking for the quickest easiest way to add missing players. If there is a roster that also includes created players to fill out rosters for players that are completely unavailable that's a bonus.

Hopefully 2K does not patch this out. This is such a benefit for roster creators and console players.

Do you think they can find the DNA of the Kobe scans from his Moments mode in 2k24? Also I cant export/save some scans like the Shaq with hair or the 1987/88 Mj version

This is what I am wondering.. if a PC user can mod the Suns court in MyEras and then upload that on 2kshare

Probably not going to happen. Unless they are using the tools provided by 2K. I'm afraid that won't happen.

I will say my favorite part about this thread is all the people asking questions about modding. It's refreshing [emoji23] (I've never used that term in my whole life)

If it’s uploading the court for console users, then I am thinking it can’t be done.

I think console users can get things that were available to us at one point in time and not something that never existed to us.

For instance, I made a college roster for 2K14 on PS3 and was able to use a young Iverson cyberface. The roster and the cyberface were available for others to download because technically, that cyberface ID existed previously—although it was unavailable in the base game.
