Re: NBA 2K25 Patch 1.4 Available Today - Patch Notes
I don't know if this was a thing before the patch but I just noticed that you can use more than the 13 rotation slots in a game. The "Reserve" spot players still show up on our bench and can be used. Anyone over 13 players sits on the baseline near the bench. Last year you were limited to your 13 players and that was it.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 Patch 1.4 Available Today - Patch Notes
Seen a few other people comment on this but I’m also getting auto assigned whacky defensive matchups, regardless of if I turn ACE on or off. I feel like I need to adjust my matchups every 5 minutes. Gets a little exhausting.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 Patch 1.4 Available Today - Patch Notes
already opened a ticket with 2ksupport, recorded a 30 minute video showing them the matchups at the beginning and the matchups at the end and they sent it over to the devs...so at least they should know now that this is an issue. if they will fix it? i dont know.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 Patch 1.4 Available Today - Patch Notes
I caught your question late, but basically, through the first 3 quarters of the game, the defensive matchups of my team are fine; i.e., the center is guarding the center, pg is guarding the pg, and so on. In Defensive Options > Matchup, everything is set to automatic and works as it should. However, when the 4th quarter begins, I start noticing the center is all of a sudden guarding the pg, the PF is on SG, etc. I go into Defensive Options > Matchup and see that somehow, they are no longer set to automatic, and have been manually assigned to bad matchups; example, it now specifically shows Steph assigned to Wemby, or CP3 assigned to Giannis.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 Patch 1.4 Available Today - Patch Notes
In Yao Ming's rookie year, he once found himself guarding Stephon Marbury.
Starbury crossed him up so badly that he fell on his rear.
This got replayed so much that it eventually made it into 2K4's intro video.Comment

Switches lead to weird matchups in real life too.

This got replayed so much that it eventually made it into 2K4's intro video.
please read correctly before you state stuff that has nothing to do with the problem.
switches happen, yes of course! but the issue in 2k is not a switch that happens in a defensive possession, but that Rudy Tomjanovich (coach of the rockets in Yaos rookie year) told Yao that he is guarding Marbury from now on regularly.
we are not talking about mismatches after switches but about assigned matchups in the defensive settings.Comment

Just going to throw a theory out there, but could it just seem like less sweat because players are actually getting subbed out and not playing full games anymore?Comment
