Years ago they had drive cam and last year they added an on the court cam, I really like floor swivel cam this year.

Couldn’t give kudos more to the OP for a great post and finding a fun way to enjoy this game. No HUD looks so clean, you feel the flow of the game so much more. I find trusting your AI teammates to make plays, running around off ball and playing team defense amazingly rewarding.

Love that myCareer has added the no HUD options this year, I can’t tell when I’m on takeover visually but I can feel it in my play and the run of the game. I understand why they can’t add sliders to this mode but I’m enjoying the storyline and going to practice, etc. that you can’t quite do in an association mode.

Loving the game so far and it’s the best representation of basketball we’ve ever had.

I've gotten to the point where I love playing with the CPU teammates. Some tips for offball control that help get them to play better I've found and enhance the experience.
    • Press X to get them to shoot. I think most know about this, but this year if you do it while they're in a stand still they'll often go into their go to shot instead of just pulling up which is cool
    • Left on DPad and calling a quick iso when you are off ball will clear out the area for whoever has the ball and seems to change their logic so they start looking for a shot
    • In a similar vein, I've found calling the "early offense" quick play (Left on Dpad, left trigger twice, then LB) is great if you want to get your CPU teammates to attack when they are in semi transition. It also often seems to trigger a spread pick and roll for the ball handler if you call it in the half court setting if you'd prefer for them to do that over an iso.

I REALLY wish we could access the entire playbook while off ball. I don't see why LB can't have the same function offball as it does onball (tapping gives you access to calling plays/actoins for each position, holding triggers an off-ball screen in the same way holding triggers a pick and roll when on-ball).

It's silly to have the ball handler be the only one with access to that. You want to be making adjustments when you're not worried about protecting the ball.

This approach is also a really cool way to watch CPU v CPU gameplay. I've found I like the "Rail" camera when I'm watching it, but sometimes like to get one of the full court cams to make the experience feel like you're in the stands.

Without commentary and all the HUD elements, it really starts to feel like you're in the stadium. What's really cool is when I put it in this mode and then watch the game in a VR headset with a massive virtual screen.

Been doing an "active simulation" in my MyLeague where I inserted a legend onto each team and am doing a short season. I run every game in simcast and try to hop in to see the close ones and watch them like this. And am user controlling Luka when the Mavs play like I showed in the original post.

      Here's a snippet.

Would you mind sharing the link for the 'Border' reshade? I'd like to also hide the scoreboard somehow.

This was the one I started with. It's a pretty heavy reshade though, it includes more than just the border. The border is off by default and bound to NumPad1. I think I may have had to tweak the border to fully cover the scoreboard, but can't remember for sure.

When I played a modded 2k. I always used the option to remove all huds. No circles under the players etc. It really is crazy how more immersive it is. I use lock player a lot. Totally different experience and in a good way.

Personally I think if 2K kept this model of playing we wouldn't have all these problems in the community. I love playing this way online. I just focus on basketball not Green Windows and baskets on fire.

              Amen to that statement

Honestly, it's probably not the hardest thing to get them to do. Introduce something like this in an update or next installment and call it "Immersive Mode, the most realistic way to hoop" or w/e and talk about how it's the most challenging but rewarding (which is probably true, though not most effective maybe). We've seen how so much of the community is focusing on forcing high risk/reward shooting to work even though it's clearly not working out well for most in practice simply because it's the "most challenging".

May have to try the hud thing.

In the beginning, it will feel weird. But you'll notice too much input from the screen is just not good.

Some times it's even great because people can't tell if I'm playing off ball or on ball and all that nonsense is gone. Play basketball. Stop worrying about the user
