I'm sure there are 1000 use cases, but I felt like I opened Pandoras Box on defense when I started to understand this. I feel like I can direct the defense in a way where it becomes more about matchup prioritization, smart switches, and preventing confusion instead of "follow arrow and Press LT when you get close and Y sometimes when you get close".

Still don't understand the obsession with always playing on-ball. I've always played 2K defense with the mindset of closing up holes, providing smart help and correcting errors when using full team control. That kind of stuff is so much more fun imo. This just adds another layer or ten to it.
I agree. I also think it can be more realistic in some respects, because you can’t play poor perimeter defenders. I can make Trae Young a much better defender than the cou can.

Absolutely! I love to play player lock. I don't want to overpower the cpu with doing things they can't do.

That's my only problem with manual switching. The cpu still won't defend the overpowered pin downs well. So by using that feature i am getting an kind of unfair advantage.

I wouldn’t think that way bc to me the cpu has a significant advantage on screens when they are on offense and shooting like they are all Steph Curry

I tried it. It’s not for me. Switch was delayed and my defense seemed more confused than ever
