Typically,I obtain 70p and can get 6000pts and three star, occasionally 65p I get it to.

So I've tried to find the answer in here. But can you get a 3 star pack player after your first attempt? I've gotten 2 stars in a couple games but mostly 1 star and i want to get that 3 star pack. Let me lay down a hypothetical:

Play against Hawks get 1 star. Yay, player contracts and +3 Standing Layup.

Play against Hawks again get enough points for 2 stars. What do I get?

Play against Hawks again get enough points for 3 stars. What do I get?

2 Star packs usually come with a jersey or playbook I believe. There's also a slight chance of getting a player in them. 3 Star packs are guaranteed a silver player with a good chance of a gold.

Hi Lads.

Found this thread/site when looking for answers to this mystery game mode.

To the guy who said to intentionally foul until you get to 80 points, I'd agree this is the smartest route.
I've had a 100% success rate doing this in 4/5 attempts. TBH even doing it this way it's hard to get to 80 with these crap players.

As for the lad who said you cant get the 6000 of 80 alone, I even got it without a 20 point player as Garcia fouled out on 16-18 when I was trying to foul with somebody else.
That attempt though I only got 6040(though Im not sure I even made 80 there or else it was the game I fouled out 3/4 players)

To add my own view, I'd say to anyone to just go for fouling route but try to hold off your better scorers with the fouls.
I try to get someone 20 then ill sub them out, I try not to foul anyone out and keep everyone on 5 fouls and I'll play players out of position to take the fouls or get the points on the inside(Garcia can score in the post from C, just try some pump fakes and follow throughs)

I also turn the auto subs off and ride the starters as long as needed to get them to 10 and whoever gets their early onto 20.
Just force things, sprint with the PG and try get something off quick. You have enough players to foul the whole game and have some remaining unless you shoot 10%.

I've had nothing but useless PF/C's from the packs so far... all silver aswell.
Getting a bit fed up as I don't even have a silver/gold PG/SG and I've pulled 12+ PF/Cs so far.

To add insult to injury, I've been buying the Lakers 90/91 trying to get Magic.
I've pulled THREE Elgin Campbells(bronze C), Larry Drew(PG bronze), their silver PF(AJ Green or something) and some other Bronze.
As if you'd ever pull 3 Magic's.... I think this game mode is a bit scripted in terms of what you pull.

How could I not pull one SG/PG above bronze and get 12+ PF/C's.... got Deng early which was my only SF so far.
I don't think 2k want you getting loads of PG/SG's, there seems to be a favouritism towards big men.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?.

I think I lucked out on my initial MyTeam lineup. Ended up with a starting 5 of N. 1 Wolters
2 K.Caldwell-Pope
3 R. Anderson
4 Delfino
5 Birdman

Caldwell-Pope will drop 20+ w/o hesitation, opened a couple bronze packs and managed to get
Jimmer, Jason Hamilton, Mike Dunleavy, M. Williams, Koufous, so I don't think it's that hard to build a decent bronze team.

As far as 3 star packs I've received:
Lakers - Steve Nash
Western Conference All-Stars - Tyreke Evans
Eastern Conference All-Stars - Josh Smith
My Team All-Stars - D12
Bulls - Boozer
Knicks - K Mart
Heat- M. Beaseley
Bucks - L. Ridnour (Actually pulled in a 2 star pack)
Mavs - Calderon
Pistons - Brandon Jennings

That's all I remember off the top of my head.

Once you start putting up 70+ it'll be easy, just need a guy like Caldwell-Pope that can drive and shoot. I don't focus on winning the game just scoring so if I don't score at least 35 by half then I know I'm on a bad pace.

No one is quite sure what the difficulty level is. I'm guessing All-Star. We can't change much in the way of difficulty, but it does seem that adjusting free-throw difficulty in the NBA Today menu (or is it the "Features" menu?) affects MyTeam. I don't know why that would be, but I made it easier, and now I rarely miss free-throws.

I pulled Lebron, Wade, and Bosh from the Heat 3 star dom pack...

Im trying to get Ray now...

Ive been a heat fan for decades so Im getting the best players I can for an ALL HEAT TEAM...
