This game in general is pretty much dead to me. Was going to play done myteam last week load up the game, get the patented server is **** message and myteam is not even on the menu. Just kind of chuckled and went back to watching tv. I shouldn't have to watch that intro video in full all the time to fix issues. It's laughable they still have issues like this.

And to top it all off I tried to play a Rttp game today and servers crapped out in the third. RIP nba2k.

                Re: Domination Mode

I finally found my rythm, got 3 stars against the Blazers, the Bucks, the Knicks and the Nets.

                My squad:
PG: Schroder (finishes every contact layup and gets lots of and1's) / Farmar
SG: Hardaway Jr. / Jaren Jackson (deadly from outside)
                SF: G. Green / Delfino
                PF: C. Andersen / J. Evans
                C: B. Wright / Thabeet

I'm controlling the Center while playing man to man defense, average around 8 blocks but less then 5 steals. But I score like 70-80 points on a run and gun offense which is enough to get over 6000 MT points for 3 stars. Schroder can run the floor so well with his speed and layups.

                My PoE:
                Offense: Pick & Roll
                Defense: Limit parameter shots
                Flex: Crash offensive glass

Unfortunately the reward packs won't give me anything decent. Got Kenyon Martin, Jason Terry, Thomas Robinson and Luke Ridnour in these packs.

Just beat the MT all-stars and got A Bynum. Scored 90+ for the first time.

                  My lineup:

T Taylor/S Brooks '94 (deadly from 3; easiest shot release)
M Webster/T Hardaway JR (primary ballhandler with second unit)/J Jenkins
                  J Hamilton/J Meeks
                  M Teletovic/M Bullard '94/J Jerebko
                  J Henson/J Evans

                    Re: Domination Mode

I enjoy reading other people's methods / lineups for this mode. Like some of you, it took me a little while, but I finally started finding my groove. My last 5 games have all been 3 star games, including overtime losses to the Heat and Pacers (the Heat game was 2 OT).

                    My lineup is:

                    PG: MCW
                    SG: Delfino
                    SF: J. Hamilton
                    PF: Austin Daye
                    C: Miles Plumlee

                    BENCH:
                    6th: Caldwell-Pope
                    C. Frye

… then the other spots get changed a lot, based on who has contracts remaining, and how many. For a long time, I just kept using contracts to replenish my bench players' contracts, then realized, for as little PT as they get, I'd rather save those contract cards for my starters, and replace my bench players with similar players when their contracts run low.

                    PoE:
                    - Pick and Roll Offense
                    - Create Chaos
                    - Play Physical

The two biggest things that finally really got me rolling were 1) changing that last PoE to Play Physical. No idea why this seems to have made such a difference, but it has. And 2) Figuring out how to do the 4 out, 1 in thing on offense. I use the pick and roll with Plumlee, OR a pick and fade with any of the other 3 guys, every time down the floor. I had gotten frustrated because it seemed like every time MCW did use the pick well and was driving toward the bucket, some idiot AI teammate would jut into the lane and block his route, leading to all kinds of congestion. So, I did the 4 out, 1 in thing to help with spacing, and it's worked quite well. MCW is such a beast at finishing – I get a TON of dunks with him, and, I never miss a FT with him, so he's by far my MVP, and the offense runs through him. Plumlee is a great finisher when the D does play over the top – MCW just dumps it off to him for a dunk more often than not. And, any of the other 3 guys can hit the open 3, so if something does go awry with the p&r, I just dump it out to one of them for the 3.

This method gets me a ton of shots and / or free throws. So, what's been happening is, even when my guys are having off nights, I'm getting so many shots in that I'm scoring between 70-80 pretty consistently now, so it's usually enough for 3 stars. I've found that the most important things for me are running, running, running in transition, which is why J. Hamilton became a starter. He's just so fast – any time I get a defensive rebound, I just look to throw it down the floor to whoever is the farthest up court, and just run to the rim for the finish or foul. Then of course the pick and roll / pick and fade… just so efficient when you start to learn how to use the picks well.

Anyway – long post, I know. I just find it fascinating to read the different methods that work for different people and thought I'd share mine.

Would you guys say MCW is worth opening 76ers packs for? I have some good PG's already. But I see him mention as a gamechanger like Geralt Green and Tim Hardaway.

I already have T. Taylor and Schroeder.

Hard to say. He was in the first set of cards I was given, so I've just been using him since. I've heard good things about Taylor and Schroeder as well though.

All I know is, in my experience, it doesn't take much room for him to take off for a dunk, and when he doesn't do that, he gets to the free throw line a lot. Once I got used to his FT motion (which is not hard, it's just pretty quick), I never miss free throws with him now either. Last game I played, he had a bad game from the field, but, he was 24/24 from the line.

I've also read others on this thread say that they feel like he's better for RTTP than Domination. So I think it's just a preference thing, really. Personally, he's my best player in domination by far.

If you're good at 2K get MCW, he's really good when I use him. I prefer him over gold PGs because he's 6"6, runs the break, passes well, finishes layups. He was my starting PG for RTTP.

I don't recommend wasting VC on Michael Carter-Williams. Size (6'6") and a 77 steal rating are the only things he has going for him. He's slow (81 speed), can't shoot the three (60 rating), and he's not great at dunks or finishing in the lane.

Here's how I'd rank all the point guards I've used so far:

1A. Jimmer Fredette -- If you want a three point shooter, his 87 rating is the best I've seen for a bronze PG. His release is easy, and his range is insanely deep.

1B. Dennis Schröder -- If you want a speedy, slashing, fast breaking PG, Schröder has better wheels than any other bronze (97 speed, 98 quickness).

                            2. Patrick Mills -- Undersized (6'0"), but he offers a good combination of speed (94) and shooting (83 three).

                            3. Pablo Prigioni -- Good size (6'3"), good three ball (84), and his 83 steal rating is the highest I've seen for a bronze PG.

I haven't gotten to use Tyshawn Taylor yet.

I just get thumped in this mode about 70% of the time I play it. Online I win the vast majority of my games, and got to the 1st seed without ever staying or being demoted... but domination...I get well, dominated.

They play absolutely incredible defense, blanketing my shooters and not letting my PG drive. I try pick and roll and that works occasionally, but afterwards they figure that out too. And when they're on offense? Forget it. EVERY offensive rebound. 75%+ from the arc, NEVER misses a shot in the paint... my god, this is so frustrating.

Question, is there a way to make the AI do screens rather than having to call them up constantly? I've not even used them before but I really struggle to score in any other way than occasional 3's outside the box.
