So it looks like the guys they added are younger versions of Wade, Amar'e, Deron Williams, Elton Brand, and Kirilenko. The only one I think I'd be interested in is Amar'e. Probably not gonna waste any MT/VC on those packs though.

There's already an Onyx Amar'e up on the XB1 auction, going for 440k buy now lol.

Wow, that's it? I am interested in exactly none of those players. Talk about underwhelming.

yup those are the "legends" lol. Ak47 and Elton Brand are sure locks for the Hall of Fame huh? Even though I'm a huge Amar'e fan from his Suns days, these are not legends.

Once again, Ronnie and LD mess something up. This time, it's wrongly promoting these packs, saying they were legends, when in fact they weren't. I've said it time and time again, LD and Ronnie are cool guys, but they are HORRIBLE at their jobs.

With the possible exception to Wade, these guys are an insult to the term "legend".

Well this is quite disappointing. Not sure how Ronnie has the balls to call this the first batch of legends.

Pretty insulting to us if you ask me.

Not sure it's that big of a deal, but Brand and Amar'e only have 2 badges each. I kinda figured Onyx players would have a lot of badges and whatnot.

Seems like were not the only ones upset by this. I've seen numerous twitter replies saying these aren't legends. People are not very happy. Of course, that's not gonna matter unless someone with a decently big name in the 2k community says something. Just the way things go a 2k.

Edit 2: Tried one onyx pack. Got the rookie Payne from the hawks. Aaaaand I'm done. I'll try my luck on the auction house lol.

I mean, look at the huge amount of historic team collections. There's damn near as many historic players as current ones. Yet those collections sit empty a month after release.

Now, this is my first year playing MyTeam so I don't know how many legends they tend to rollout at a given time but it just seems odd to me that Ronnie would hype up this first batch of "legends" only to have it be a Throwback Thursday type of deal. He even asked his followers to guess the legends for today's release, like anyone would expect this sorry group of cards.

Uh...that's nice, but Ronnie2K15 Tweeted early that this new pack was going to have Legends.

I guess I'm confused with the terminology. I am looking for access to HISTORIC players for use in MyTeam. The only ones available now appear to be those that come as rewards for completing team sets.

As for these types of "Legends"...which look more like Throwback versions of CURRENT NBA players to me than, uh, "legends"....there's no way I'm buying packs for the small chance at getting a player like this. I'm better off waiting until they hit the market...and then I can get the one I actually WANT.

Exactly. I didn't play last year's version on any console, but I did play 2K13 a lot from Day 1...and I was PUMPED the first day when I jumped into MyTeam and started getting HISTORIC players from packs - even if they were only Jim King or other scrubs.

What good does it do having ZERO access to these guys?

First off, it gives MyTeam even less variety in terms of who you play....and second, what (if any) use are people really going to have for Bronze historic players in a few weeks or months?

Such a great game mode...just not executed well. 2K could do so,so much more with MyTeam.

I could hear it now: "It says ThursDAY, not ThursNIGHT." I think when the legends start to come, they're not going away anytime soon, so they weren't in such a hurry to get them out. Let's chill out until the day is over.
