Agreed. I don't know why I continue to look forward to the new cards on Thursdays... they're always awful.

You have to lower your expectations. They are 71 onyx cards and only about 8 are rated in the 90s. Out of the 18 cards released so far 4 are in the 90s.

After Onyx Kobe (most likely in two weeks) you won't see a 90 plus rated onyx player for a while.

If 2K were smart, they would be able to pick out some popular players that people actually like. Monta Ellis, Josh Smith, Gerald Wallace WTF?

No one even wants their regular cards which are dirt cheap, why would people want to overspend to get a modest upgrade?

I know i'm in the minority here but i'd love to get gerald, one of my favorite players in the league when he was on the bobcats. But yeah, unfortunately i don't have the ridiculous amount of mt required to acquire him. I'll just have to wait and hope he goes down to about 20.000 eventually.

From what i've seen he's rated pretty good as well; defense, athleticism, dunking and a surprisingly high 82 3pt rating iirc.

Either way, the more cards the better imo, that way we might see some more variety in rttp although i doubt it. Unfortunately most people have a different mindset and will just keep (ab)using the best players available like always. I remember beating all the superteams on rttp in 2k13/14 with vince carter, jon mcglocklin and donald royal of all people as my main guys, scoring 40-50+ with any one of them on the regular. Now that was fun at times but it did get old real quick playing the same teams over and over. I just wish there was a separate mode with semi-realistic lineup restriction for people like me or just something as simple as matchmaking based on team composition.

Maybe next year... then again, who am i kidding. It won't happen and even if they do it it'll be something dumb like matching up based on overall team grades and people will just have 8 99's and fill out their team with scrubs they won't use to keep the rating down... Conclusion: most online gamers are annoying af.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have Crash, Boozer, D Will etc on my lineup. But their prices are still inflated when compared to their stats and counterparts (aka similar players that are gold).

Crash is a beasst, I'd probably have him as a stretch 4 off the bench or something. But he needs to drop in price.

Just wondering, are the cards in those YouTube videos and that imgur gallery on here all Onyxes? Or are they assorted gem cards? Who seem to be the remaining 90+ Onyxes?

Next week he'll without a doubt drop in price, as his stats arent exactly amazing. Most likely bottom out at the 20K range

And anyone feel that the Linsanity Jeremy Lin should be a little higher rated? In those two months or so, he was pretty much a star. I would think 87 or 88 would be a more proper rating

Just pulled down 20 rebounds in 21 minutes for me in RTTP. Granted the other dude was running a small line-up (With the usual Lebron-George-Durant), I agree with everyone else who likes the lower tiered Onyx's. I play this game to protest the same superstar teams you see over and over again.

Kenyon Martin is all over the court 24/7, he finishes alleys at a insanely high clip, defends any wing/center, and he hustles and gets boards like crazy. I think his dunk tendency should have been a bit higher but I can't complain. He is one of my fav nets of all time, and he's a beast for me.
