Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Got 2 bs losses on friday so i went out to the ah and got myself someone that can really take over a game, ruby magic.
pg: ruby magic johnson (32m) - bronze dennis schröder (9m)
sg: silver vince carter (27m) - silver dan majerle (27m)
sf: sapphire paul george (30m) - gold carmelo anthony (30m)
pf: bronze brad sellers (27m) - bronze kyle anderson (9m)
c: sapph brook lopez (30m) - silver nerlens noel (19m)
8-1 overall so far with this lineup and in the process i made it to the first seed where i'm at 3-1 now.
Spoiler
One guy in the 2nd seed was pretty funny, i beat him by about 30 (he was pretty bad). During the 4th quarter he turned on his mic and said that i suck and only won because 2k screwed him over by putting him up against someone (me) in the 5th or 6th seed. Obviously that was wrong but anyway, supposedly the game would let the lower seed play on an easier difficulty or smth... it made no sense. I used rudy gay that game (sapph pg13 was injured) and he just assumed i was in the low seeds because of my lineup. So i turned on my mic and told him i was in the 2nd seed, so was he, and of course he called me a liar. Next, he said the game lets the lesser team play on a lower difficulty...So i said "if that's true then why don't people use a bunch of 70 overalls? the game will let them play on rookie/casual for sure and they'll be unbeatable." He proceeded to call me and my mother some names so when he was done i said "
good game man, i hope we play again. have a nice day
" and turned off the mic..
So, i have to ask, do people actually believe this nonsense about equalizers between seeds/teams/whatever? I've seen this stuff mentioned before on these boards, sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. I mean, sure, we all have games where everything seems to be going against us but is that really because of some equalizer? Can't it just simply be one of those games? Just like with everything else in life, sometimes you just have one of those days. It happens to everyone. No need to make excuses.
Anyway, enough of that. Now i just need to win sapphire (westbrook iirc) using this somewhat realistic lineup. Although tbh it's borderline op right now imo, i might have to take out george and put in someone around 75-80ovr. We'll see.
Then of course once i've proven to myself that i can win the whole thing without cheese or using a super-uber-duper team it'll be time for a new challenge. I'll finally lift all restrictions for myself, hopefully get onyx vince, put all my best players in the lineup and see how long i can go undefeated.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Can someone give me a review of saphire karl malone out of the jazz collection. Is he worth the 100k mt the collection needs? Also what are some collections that I can finish with 100k mt with a good saphire reward?Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
And my friend has sapphire Malone and he always uses him against me. He rebounds insanely well, finishes strong. Calculate the loss after tax and that would be the price you'll be paying for him. He is solid and would be nice to have if you need a PF. I don't have him because I have Ruby KG, Kemp, KMart, and Melo when I decided to go small at PF. Too many bigs that I'd never find playing time for Malone.Comment

Also baseline dunking with Sapph PG13 and Sapph John Wall is still cheese. Plus flopping all the time and winning 5 charges in a mode with input lag. So by no means you are entitled to call people cheesersLast edited by kabamaru; 03-30-2015, 06:34 AM.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
There is no equalizer. It is very bad however that seed 5 can be matched up with seed 1 etc. You notice no difference in opossition strength in differend seeds. All games for me seem to have same difficulty, no matter if I player in 4th seed or 2nd. By the way you are a bad loser yourself...Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Mate you lost the game in overtime when you were 14 points up, then you send me message calling me names, just because you lost... Get over it , it is a game. Also every loss you take , you call it B/S as you did in your post before. Everyone loses in this mode. It would be good for you to admit that in some games the other can be more lucky or even better.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Sapphire Malone ie very good, if you know how to use a PF, which is quite difficult in this game as post play is broken. Sapphire Mullin is worth every penny if you complete an 80K collection and sell it back. Also Oscar robertson collection costs less than 100k I thinkComment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
You probably already made a decision, but I bought Onyx Pistol over the weekend and he is an offensive genius. I've had 6 games with him and he's gotten double red rings in 5 of them. One game he was 10/14 in the second half, hit 5 3s, and brought me back from 15 down hitting a game winner. On defense, he's just OK but he's not a total liability either. Highly recommend.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
It means that is really inneficient to try to score in the post comparing with perimeter offense. Hook shot is very difficult to hit, even with very good hook-shot players. In the end you end running very few offenses with your tall guys, and score some wide dunks or putbacks. I have seen people running post offenses, but they are the exceptionComment

Ruby cousins is a very good alternate and cheap, and also Emerald Davis, even if he is listed as PFLast edited by kabamaru; 03-30-2015, 09:57 AM.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
So I'm considering another lineup upgrade and was looking at Ruby Pippen or Gold Bird. Any reviews on them?
Pippen would probably replace Sapphire Clyde in my lineup and I would continue to run a 3 out 2 in. Bird would move Bill Russell to the bench and be used at PF to add some variety with a 4 out 1 in.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
You can test Bird in the other game modes, he has one of the ugliest player models ever, he is slow and there is a tiny chance to get a better version of him for free just by typing in a code. So spending around 250k on him doesn't seem very reasonable. I could live with his speed and his ugliness but his PD version makes the gold card pretty worthless IMO. Better go for Pippen!Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
What are the best collections to do where you can sell back the players after completion? Was thinking about going for diamond KD, sapphire malone, sapphire oscar, or one of the sapphire centers. If you've done any of these, around how much did they cost after tax?Comment
