I constantly switch between a 3-2 and a 4-1. The spacing of the 4-1 is great but then I get outrebounded/scored on so I switch back to a 3-2. I just looked at all the good 4s/5s and concluded that AD is still one of the very best at that position. I'll probably get a Ruby Admiral once I can to take that starting position, one of very few players who should be a better 4 than AD. There's another AD in the Rising Stars Rubies though, hard to say how good he'll be.

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
What's up y'all,
Should I sell my Onyx Dirk and buy Emerald Anthony Davis or just keep Dirk? Davis has been killing me more than anyone not named Durant to the tune of EIGHT offensive boards in the FIRST quarter alone in one game earlier this year. I would love to have him on my team but I don't want to lose the perimeter shooting that a seldom elite stretch 4 like Dirk offers me. What do y'all think? Look down at my sig incase you're wondering whose on my team.
If you subbed out Dirk for AD the other 4 starters aren't a great 3pt team to begin with. Cp3 is your best threat and Dom and Russ are truly midrange/driving players.
I prefer two ELITE 3pt specialist stars in my 5. And if not two you have to have a Steph, Klay, Melo, etc. that's just me though.
AD in that lineup will work if you run pick and roll and basic motion offense with the goal being getting as many layups and dunks as possible with a secondary focus of clean high percentage mid range J's. Your team as assembled with AD could do that all day.
Roster Sapp Mullin or Gold Mullin for a cheap 3pt bench specialist if the game calls for it. Dale Ellis is an extremely high rated shooter from anywhere and he's cheap too.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
I bought him for 43k (PC) just to sell him back for more, but after using him a few games I decided to keep him. He fares great against other bigs on both sides of the floor, his low vertical doesn't seem to be an issue, get gets rebounds, blocks shots. His passing is great and his jumper has an easy release unlike some bigs... He has great badges, he is both a floor general and a defensive anchor. Just needs a post lockdown defender badge and he's good to go.
Here's my line up:

As for Emerald AD, I'll take your and Q No's opinion on it. Thanks.PG: Vacant/Ruby Steph/Ruby Lin

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Maybe one of the OVR99 Jordans for 200-250k?
There are no better non PD players. '89 MJ is the cheapest and IMO the best of the 3. You can get a fully badged one for around 200k. Another expensive option is to upgrade LBJ to Onyx, then play Dr J at SG and LBJ at SF.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Thanks. My thinking is that Lillard's defense is atrocious, I often have to take him out of the game and put Payton back in just to play the match up. I only play on ball D and I feel that I am an above average defender. He cannot keep up with zig zag cheesers and curry kills him almost all the time. I had billups as my backup before and I loved his defense but I could not get his shot down. With that said, Lillard is a beast on offense and he's a perfect spark off the bench.
As far as the MJ, 89 looks like the way to go because of the better playmaking. Just gonna wait until I find one at a decent price.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Or should I go for diamond lillard? He has 80 defensive consistency. I'm sitting on 250 cards and already cleared the 300 card bounty.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
But seriously, he's amazing. So much fun to use. His defense isn't usually a problem, he's tall and quick which makes up for some flaws.Comment

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread
Sure thing! I sold ruby lillard in preparation for the ruby packs this Friday, hopefully I can pick him back up for rttp this weekend when he gets cheaper because of the all star packs, because my offense isnt the same without him lol. I'm up to 500 cards and back up to 250k. Started at 310k. Thanks for all the advice guys!Comment

My personal take on the PF position is that you either want a guy who's a great (help) defender and rebounder, or a stretch 4 who spaces out your offense. So I stopped using guys like Ruby Kemp after starting Ruby Blake for a while, I find that I have more success with either Emerald AD or a stretch 4.
As to what to do with the bulk of your MT - I would probably go for one of the gold MJs. Most people here like the 89/91/93 best, you should be able to find a fully badged out version for a decent price. The younger MJs are better with the ball in hand but worse off-ball, e.g. I use my 89 MJ as the primary ballhandler with Oscar being the secondary ballhandler, and Melo being in there mostly for his shooting. I would put KD next to MJ so you have an outstanding shooter on the court, something I find necessary when running a 3-2 type offense.
Chris Paul's good shooting and defensive abilities should fit in well, but if you find that he's being bullied by big PGs and non-PGs at the 1 too much it might be easier to switch to Onyx Oscar, Onyx Kidd, or Ruby Payton. I wouldn't really put gold Magic next to young MJ because that would leave you with two of your 3 backcourt players being below average shooters.
Alternatives to spending your MT on MJ:
- Onyx LeBron, should be a decent choice as well
- Ruby Admiral, probably better than Sapph Hakeem
I wouldn't go with the Admiral though since it seems to me that MJ + Hakeem, Dr + Mutombo is better than Dr J + Admiral, Nique + Hakeem. As to Onyx LeBron, I haven't tried him but heard great things. That being said I'm not sure having him at the 4 will impact your game the same way having MJ at the 2 will.
I can't really think of any other card worth going for.Comment
