Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread

I'm looking for advice on my lineup. Not necessarily upgrades, just things that might fit my style more, or different type of lineups I should try for fun.

I play defense first and like to run the fast break. I take very few 3s a game. I'm almost always running plays and only settling for wide open shots/dunks.

This is my current lineup. The only ones I feel I might want to change it up would be Julius/David Robinson. I've thought about going back and playing a SF at the 4, or trying out Kevin Garnett/Eraser Tim Duncan. My bench I'm really much willing to change them all besides Carmelo, Bird. I used to have Artest as my starting SF, but went back to Erving because he runs the floor so well on the fast break and finishes dunks like it's nothing.

I play a 9 man rotation with the last 3 players getting 0 minutes. I just put artest in there to hold leads when I'm starting to get torched by one player.

I appreciate any tips or advice someone has.

You can put Carmelo or Bird as Stretch PF.
But really man seeing your team, what kind of help do you really need. Your team is fully stacked up and you really do not explain at all what exactly advice you need. What type of basketball you play etc.

Re: Whats your lineup/lineup help thread

        Hi all,
I have won seed 1 twice. I am currently in seed two but i have a superteam

http://2kmtcentral.com/lineups/10011...ink-team-Thing is I do not enjoy playing with this team:
        a) cause of the cheese of MJ in PG,
        b) cause it needs a lot of MT to create
        c) I think it's overpowered so I am feeling that my players abilities win the matches
        d) MJ,Dr-J,LBJ do more or less the same thing in the game

Long story short, I want to win with a team that anyone could have with appx 100K cost.

        My team would be http://2kmtcentral.com/lineups/28555/100k-limit

I play a lot of 4 out 1 in, with many pick and rolls from center to ball handler.

Mullin stretches the floor and no matter how wrong this can sound I had much more success with him at SG when i first won RTTP ( http://2kmtcentral.com/lineups/3499/seed-1-winner) rather than Sapph Erving as he stretches the floor.

What I really need is a PG. Key requirements:

I want him be quick and strong enough to play the pick and roll and finish at the rim.
I want him to be a mid and 3 point threat.
I would like to be able to defend against both the 3 point spammers and the various LBJ,MJs at PG.
        Cost no more than 30-35K

        Considerations

Sapph Curry is a good option but I prefer him as backup as sometimes I don't get his release, plus his is kind of week in finishing at the rim and also defending

Sapph Robertson would also be a good option, as he is great defender passer and driver but he is quite slow for the pick and roll and also I am thinking that him combined with Mullin would make my perimeter really slow.

I love Penny but he is an average mid and 3 shooter

Sapph wall strangely is great dunker but average in lay-ups

Gold Lillard was one of my favorite players at the beggining of the game.

I don't know however if his ruby card would make a pair at PG with Curry as their play is somehow similar.

I know I am asking too much but any help would be appreciated

Hey, it's interesting to see that you have beaten Seed 1 with Kobe as PG.
I'm playing Onyx Kobe atm as PG and he does a very satisfying job!

Concerning your requirements (30-35k) I would probably stick to Sapph Robertson or consider Ruby Payton as an option. Of course he is no MJ or Kobe, but still has a decent shot, good passing and very good defense.

Ruby Lillard / Ruby Kyrie are also near the price category...maybe you can snipe a cheap one.

          cheers

Anyway, how would you play with these cards? How would your starting 5 and the bench rotation look like? I'm trying to figure out the best team chemistry.

I only play a 10 man rotation usually.

Hey Kaba, I don't think there is a PG that does all that for 30-35k. Ruby Magic is probably closest, but he's a little more expensive. Ruby Lillard is great but only offensively. Maybe sell MJ and get the Diamond, then sell cards back? You could also just put Oscar in and run PnRs with LeBron, that's would I would do with your lineup. If you run a lot of 1-5 PnRs you might want to consider using a faster C.

I would put Wilt at the 4 since he's much faster/quicker. Start Melo at the 3, Dr J won't touch the ball too much with Magic and MJ in there and isn't great off-ball. Have him lead your bench unit of PG/Kobe/Dr J/Russell-Bird/Hakeem.

To be honest I don't like your rotation very much.

Kobe/Jordan/T-mac basically do the exact same thing on the court. Same as Robinson and Hakeem. I would add a catch and shoot player to space the floor in a 4 out 1 in rotation.

The best money can buy is probably Onyx LeBron. But you will be giving up rebounds/interior defense if you do that. Not saying it's a bad option, just that there are pros and cons.

Hello all, I am posting my lineup for the 2nd time in the past week. However, my lineup has changed a lot since my first post, and I am kind of stuck right now. I have won 17 out of my last 20 Road to the Playoffs games, but I feel as though I am being overmatched by my opponents whenever I lose. My lineup is currently
                          Onyx CP3
                          Onyx Mitch Richmond
                          Onyx '08 Pierce
                          Onyx KG
                          Sapphire Hakeem (96 overall)

                          And the bench 5 are
                          Sapphire Dr. J
                          Onyx Vince
                          Diamond KD
                          Gold Lebron
                          Sapphire David Robinson/Sapphire Bill Russell

As you can more than likely see, my offense is largely based on drive and kick to open shooters, or to pound the paint with KG and Hakeem. One lineup that I like to use when coming back from large defecits is:

                          Gold LeBron
                          Onyx Mitch
                          Diamond KD
                          Onyx '08 Pierce
                          Onyx KG

This is the lineup I play in 4th quarters as well. Anyway, I have 130k mt at the moment, and I've been looking at a backup point guard who can shoot and play defense, as well as being a taller point guard. I've been considering Onyx Oscar Robertson, but I want to know what you guys think about him. Is he worth the 150k on XBOX?

I can only tell you the same thing again: don't have your best player come off the bench, you've got to start Dr J. I would pair him with KD and have Mitch and PP come off the bench, KD's every bit as good a shooter and better in other areas than Mitch.

Onyx Oscar is amazing I think he's well-worth the MT. I'm also not a fan of all of those SFs at PG at all.

you can't go wrong with Diamond KD as a stretch PF. I never faced real rebounding issues since I patched him with tenacious rebounder and scrapper. Of course you can always substitute a true pf/c

in perimeter ruby Klay and Chris mullin are great to stretch the defense. Mullin is slower but can have more badges. His stats may lie as he is at lease equal shooter to Klay

Onyx Oscar is amazing I think he's well-worth the MT. I'm also not a fan of all of those SFs at PG at all.
So who do you think the starting 5 and bench 5 should be, assuming I pick up Oscar
