The 97-98 is too slow to be interesting whereas the Sapphire MJ is so explosive and strong that when properly used he is unstoppable.

I'm no cheeser, but I like to have shooting guards that can shoot the 3 ball and I feel that Sapphire MJ's Volume Shooter badge comes in at the worst time (for me that is.)

Bought a couple of good players for cheap and unfortunately some duds as well:

Sidney moncrief (great, my new starting pg), eric gordon (meh, i wish his release was better), tyreke evans (not for me), brad sellers and matt bullard (beastmode, both are my new backup pf, sellers mostly and then bullard if there's a zone), sleepy floyd (my 6th man, good enough, i wanted onyx jet but i'm saving mt and sleepy was about 20-25k less so...), gerald henderson (i like him, he can stay in the rotation for now), emerald wiggins (not bad, nothing special, might give him another chance later but for now i need the mt he sells for).

Ruby Dirk, the all star one can be bought for 12K. He is lower- rated than the all-time scorer one with 89 3 point insted of 92,BUT has 8o defensive rebound and of course he is 7'1". He supplements fantastically KD as a strtch 4 due to his height,if he is needed for extra rebounding or marking apostingopponent. Also his fade pick'rollis one of the safest plays. Of course hisspeed limits him a bit

Gold Steph Curry with all gold badges for 11k. Can't believe someone sold him that cheap with all the badges capped. Also something pretty cool happened today. I was putting a lot of my bronze players in the AH with the starting bid at 500MT. I go to check them and saw one of the bronze Bulls players sold for like 13k MT. All I remember is he was on one of those 90's Bulls team. Must be a rare bronze that people need for that collection. Lol and that's why I don't quick sell players I have no clue about. Also bought a gold LBJ for 37k MT.

Very true. I had a lot of trouble beating some of the weekly challenges, but went back to replay them after buying LeBron. He makes it so much easier.

Ruby Magic Johnson for like 49.5K with all of his badges gold except hustle points.. Can't believe he's that cheap.. Recently hit the 500 card mark and decided to use the 50K on him.. He's amazing, has great passing, ball handling, post offense, layup and defensive stats.. His badges are phenomenal too.. Has Alpha Male, Floor General, Heart and Soul, Closer, Road Dog, Fierce Competitor and Primetime SMH.. He's a walking triple double that can do everything well except shoot 3s and post fade aways, but if you play to his strengths he's unstoppable and just as dominant as Gold Lebron.. It's crazy that you can get both of them for 50 something K (generally) each.. Ruby Magic is probably the best value in the game since most of his badges are upgraded and he has great intangible badges.

Fully upgraded Gold Mitch Richmond for 12.5k and Onyx Kaman for 16.5k. Kaman's price dropped already to 10-12k, but I had to have him asap to replace his silver card.

I really like silver players after the patch because they can be great with the right sig skills and they're so much cheaper to use.

Picked up regular gold kobe for 7k, gold melo for 7.5k and bronze brad sellers for 1k or so.

Melo is incredible, instant offense from anywhere on the floor. The jury's still out on kobe, he's obviously great at pretty much everything but i just can't get used to his release.

Last but definitely not least, the 7' surprise, brad sellers. Gave him a couple of minutes the first game and i liked what i saw. He's been my starting pf ever since, had a bunch of 20+ point games, even 33 once. All of those were wins in the 2nd seed going up against superstars. The only real problem with him is stamina, it's at about 65-70 which is unfortunate. Now, i'm not sure why but it's extremely easy beating (off ball) defenders off the dribble with this guy. He doesn't really rebound well but he can handle the ball and pass a little so you can drive/post and kick and on defense he gets blocks and covers a lot of ground since he's relatively athletic for a 7 footer.
