Not really. Stats sre irrelevant. It's how you play not who you're playing with.

Playing LBJ at the point and spamming threes with him is cheese.

Playing Melo at the SF or stretch 4 and playing him the way he plays irl is more sim. Abusing his juiced up stats and playing him at the 2 would be cheese.

I must agree with GSW. Simulation is about how you play. Sure the pieces used could have some bearing, i guess, but ultimately, its still about how i play the game. if im running plays and not using exploits and the like, then im playing simulation style.

        no it is not
These are just rules you are just making up to feel that you are in an "elite of players". Attributes are irrelevant???? Whow. Attributes is (or is supposed to be) the only thing that is resembling real life in nba2k. The fact that LBJ is a better card than Rudy Gay, is not because the name of the card is LBJ, but because it has better attributes. Pink Diamond Carmelo is a prime example. It is a fabricated 6'8 player with 95 speed and 95 3 point shoot. But why is he a SF/PF? Because the nameof the card is Carmelo? What if the same player had the exact same attributes but was called Penny Hardaway? Wouldn't you put this card as a PG? Attributes have nothing to do with Carmelo.Could as well be a pink diamond card for Paul George,Dominique or LBJ for what it matters.Sapph dominique has 80 rebounding.Shoudhe not be used as a stretch PF? Imo you should think outside of the box. This is sim, this is not sim etc. There is no definition.Even the whole idea of Wilt playing against Al Horford is no sim.Pistol Pete never had a 3 point line to begin with. You choose to exclude everything that is not matching your little "boxes" and choose only on or two things that are convenient for you calling this mode sim.It is denial.

as GSW already stated, people were cheesing with zach lavine. your point is sort of moot.

My question then, is why would 2K allow steroidal-PD's to play in human-human matches where only the luckiest and/or 2K gifted have PD's, while 2K masses do not?

IMHO, anyone using PD's in a human match is not playing sim.... I don't see how anyone can boast about being a 'sim' player while playing with a team full of PD's.

MyTeam is a fantasy mode. Because PDs are fantasy cards, using them ain't SIM? So I guess playing MyTeam ain't sim then. What's the difference between using PDs vs CPU and humans?
Like Mike said, sim is all about how you play not who you play with.

to summarize, you are saying that if a card with the exact same attributes of Carmelo Anthony comes out tomorrow, but has the name of Reggie Miller and the photo, but the exact same stats (they are any way fabricated) it would bejustified and more "sim" to play with those two identical cards differently?

no people are saying that it doesnt matter if you use jesus himself, if you dont exploit and play within the confines of actual basketball rules and strategy, then this is simulation. if you abuse jesus and zig zag/charge cheese/turbo dunk/etc, then you are cheesing and this isnt simulation. but this was done with zach lavine and andrew wiggins in the lower seeds. lesser players, yet it was still done. its the guy with the sticks...not the card

                  This^ 100%

And Kabamaru I don't own any pink diamonds and the two diamond cards I have I don't use. I'm not making anything up to "feel better". I'm speaking truth. Sim is about how you play. Not who you use.

People cheese with LaVine just as easily as they cheese with LeBron. It was the same with T-Ross in previous versions.

Re: Has anyone really exploited the MT glitch of multi-accounts?

"cheesing" is a very vague expression made up fpr everything we believe is overpowered. Yes there are overpowered things in the game. But it has gotten out of hand. Everyone accuses the other of cheesing when they lose. Do you score 40 points with Hakeem because the other guy sucks on post defense? He must be a cheeser. Do you play LBJ on PF and iso opponent's Tim Duncan and dunk on him every time due to speed? You are a cheeser. I was called a cheesee in this thread yesterday for calling too many pick and rolls because my opponent couldn't guard the pick and rolls and I was scoring to many lay-ups and free throws.Definitiley a cheese.Everything is cheese. Playing zone? Cheese.Call for charges, cheese. I have said it before. RTTP is a play to win mode, everyone will try to win. So I was raging when my opponent was scoring 30 points on me with baseline dunks, but I learned how to defend. it is not cheese. It is in the game. Should it be fixed by 2k? Of course. But within context.Playing zone it is just suicidal after patch. Shouldn't zone be a part of a basketball game? Have you tried post patch? All games have flaws that will be exlpoited. it is unavoidable. However there are only 2 strategic things that are considered officially cheese. Is when you can do something that your opponent can not. like in some fighting games for example only Player2 could perform a specific move etc. In that case for me the only cheesy things is wear white jerseys when you play away, and MT farming/ buying MT which is against the game's policy. So in Pink Diamonds case these "cheese" has been performed by the game developer itself in full awarness. They have given overpowered cards on steroids to some people, without everyone having the same chances to buy/get them. The way they give those pink diamonds is shady at least, and trust me, if two players of exact skill and playin style both use Carmelo, one with the PD and one with the gold, the PD will win. This is plain unaccaptable to be performed by the company itself.Anyway going to bed, it is 2 am here, goodnight all

It seems to me you're just whining about flashy cards because you're jealous of people that have them. Pissed off that you don't have any. You don't like it so it must be cheese.
